Assuming it's the same as the full license it can be used on multiple computers, just not at the same time. For example if I accidentally leave it open on my desktop and then try to open on my laptop it will give me an error message. Edit: Yes, on the purchasing page says the same for amateur and pro, 1 computer.

I have 4 resin printers and have tried a number of different resins. None of them have really bothered me that much, although Siraya Tech Blu does have a very strong odor. In all the research I've done all I can find is that it bothers some people more than others and some resins are worse than others. Though the more recent resins to come out over the past few years aren't THAT bad. Basically some people get light headed or have sinus problems. If any of this happens to your friend he can wear a respirator. If there's still a concern each resin maker should have a Material Safety Data Sheet. If they don't have an MSDS I wouldn't use that resin. For example here is the sheet for one of Phrozen's resins.

FYI when I tried to download the latest version from Pilgway.com I got a warning from my Malwarebytes that the page was blocked due to a trojan. When I downloaded from the other link it was fine.

Here's something that I've never figured out how to do in 3DC. Sculpting a pattern around an object without having a "seam". A perfect example is Spider-Man's costume, there's a hex pattern that wraps all the way around his torso and arms. You could do that with a stencil in cubic mode but it leaves a blurry seam when the front and side meet for example.

Sculpting patterns around curved objects

I'm just using Spider-Man as an example of what I mean. If I was making a model for 3D printing I can't do it with a painted texture. -
I think I've actually done this before if I had a similar enough model, just loading it in the retopo room with snap it to the sculpted mesh.

That looks like it should work fine. Edit: Actually I wonder about that wall next to the steps but you could try it.

I don't use sketchup but it looks like a graphics card glitch we see in LightWave sometimes with ngons or 4-point triangles. In that case we can fix it by adding a cut to the geometry or making it all triangles (tripling it).

Strange grey lines between surfaces?

Perhaps make sure padding is enabled under Preferences > In/Out (at the bottom) -
How to batch import the OBj to Models Plane???

I would have to look at the program but can't you just drag & drop them in? -
I think I agree. I think my pipeline would be starting in Nomad and then moving to 3DC to finish.

Uncle Jesse just posted a video on Nomad Sculpt. A sculpting app for Android and ios. I tried it on my Note 20 Ultra and it's surprisingly good. The s-pen has pressure sensitivity and the app uses multiple levels of detail. I was able to get up to 6m quads. I'm not sure if that was the limit of my ram or because it's a trial version. The trial version is free and can't save or export, and only one Undo. Full version is $15 usd Might be a good companion for 3DC for sculpting on the go. Here's Uncle Jesse's video. [Solved] Have Upgraded To Professional - Where Do I Enter New Licence Key?
philnolan3d replied to Hermitcrab's topic in General 3DCoat
Hi Hermitcrab, I'd love to get an Ender. I've been trying to get them to send me one to review. Haha if you didn't see my YouTube channel I have some printer reviews on there. Http://youtube.com/philnolan3dj -
[Solved] Have Upgraded To Professional - Where Do I Enter New Licence Key?

Glad you got that solved. Have fun with 3DC! -
I don't have an official answer but I don't see anything that says you will have to pay every year. The new version is being called 2021 but that doesn't necessarily mean there will be a 2022. Plus you're buying a never-ending perpetual license so after you buy you can keep using it forever. Also keep in mind there are many free updates until the next paid version releases.

If they're going to be animated I'd say it is important to have correct topology. I would start with an octogon at the nipple tip, split down the middle to make 2 quads, then keep expanding rings of quads around it. As you get further out you may want to make a 4 point triangle in a couple of discreet places so your quads don't get too big.

Hey guys, just wanted to share, I reviewed this new 3D printer. The detail is really nice. It's slightly louder than the Sonic Mini I reviewed but that's the only down side. I show a bunch of models I printed with it, in several different resins.

That's a great use for 3DC. I've used it for illustrations in pamphlets before.

Hi Michael, good luck with your upcoming game. I'm sure it will be great!

Welcome! Glad to have you here. We'll be happy to answer any questions. I would love to see more of the tree generator too, the early version was pretty cool.

I just got a 3D printer recently and I've been having a lot of fun with it. It's an Orange 10 by Longer 3D. It's an MSLA type, meaning it uses liquid resin instead of plastic filament. That gives it much higher detail. Best part is it's only $229. Here's one of my early prints, sculpted in 3D-Coat of course. And an unboxing video.

Yeah, it might be tricky to have a bridge when they're on different devices though.

For shiny stuff what you can do is spray it with some dry shampoo. I get mine from the dollar store. It dries in a few seconds then wipes off very easily with a damp paper towel or even just your fingers. It actually comes off a little too easily so you can't really touch it while you're scanning. The down side is that you won't get the color textures, so you'll have to paint it again in 3DC or something.

I was just using reality capture today and having trouble. Maybe I'll give this a go.

If modo still uses LWO for export it loads well in 3DC, assuming it's based on LWO 2015 or earlier.
