  2. Thanks for clarifying! That's good enough for me. Although the situation that someone would upgrade to 2021 and then have the ability to sell their older V4 license seems illegal and should not be allowed at all. Pilgway should be able to easily monitor any license transfer of that and stop it. If they want to sell their license then it should be the current license plus all their previous license.
  3. An offline version for V4 for those that upgrade to 2021 would be very appreciated. Not like Autodesk and Adobe.
  4. There's an option to upgrade V4 to 3d Textura but when I tried to put my email or license key, it doesn't work. What's the price of upgrade from v4 to 3DT?

  6. Oh no! This is not good. I'm using a stable(for me) V4 and can't change 3dcoat versions for work. Glad I found this little info. Why is it like that? It's very Autodesk, Adobe.... Let us be able to use V4 while allowing upgrades.
  7. If I could upgrade my current V4 license to 3dcoat 2021 via Steam I would also like that. As mentioned it's a central hub for games and software.

Finally tested the modelling room in 3dcoat 2021 B54 for a few minutes. - Is there a way for lasso or box select method to be assigned to rmb like modo, lightwave, blender? - Symmetry is as confusing as ever like the retopo room. Virtual mirror mode on/off, toggle symmetry on/off. Can't we just have a mirror feature like in 3dmax, blender that you add or activate and that's it so there's only one thing to turn off. Apply it at the end if needed. - Also symmetrical selection doesn't seem to work for me when I "Take mesh from paint room". Why is that step "Take from paint room" necessary? It doesn't make workflow seamless. Any mesh should be editable imo and just manage it by layers/groups. - The spacebar key should not be hardcoded. Why can't we drag and drop any tools there or remove tools that people don't need? Allow it to be editable with labels, separators, text based only, icon based only. - Allow Stack keys. This is a function in other appz to ASSIGN one key to multiple functions. Ex. I would like to assign vertex, edge, poly to a Stack key like say "q" key. Every time I press "q" on the keyboard it switches from vertex, edge, poly mode. Or another example is assigning free extrude, normal exture, extrude to "e" key and I just press it 2 times to get normal extrude. Stack keys are powerful. - Weld to last selected - is it there?
  9. Update, I deleted the Exchange folder and the 3DC2Blender folder. I press get back button and end up with a rotated and messy mesh
  10. I can't get this to work on windows 10. The applink acts different in windows 10. That get back button is there unlike in my other computer with windows 7. When I press get back I get an error even though I've specied the exchange folder over and over and restarted and installed the add on over and over. Windows 10 issue?
  11. It's working bi directional for me on blender 2.83 lts and 3dc 4.9.68. I don't have that Get back button in blender. It just automatically updates when I press Open in original app in 3dcoat. Not sure if there would be any problem. 1. One thing if its possible to have the option not to use the group node. It seems when I export an fbx from blender with this group node the texture links aren't there on the fbx file. The fbx has no textures linked to it when opened in other appz or even in blender. I suspect its the group node messing with fbx export from blender. 2. Also is it possible to work on a model that already has textures, and send and modify that in 3dcoat? When I send a model with textures from blender with this applink only the mesh is sent over to 3dcoat.

  14. What's the current status of the applink with regards to 3dcoat and blender 2.93 lts? Official video, docs and download link for the applink that works?
  15. Layer 0 in paint room is to help visualize the model I guess. Without it the screen has an invisible model/mesh. And erasing parts of layer 0 will create a transparency on parts that were erased. I do need this layer. If there's a better solution to "visualize" a mesh with transparency without using layer 0 that would be good.
  16. Any news on the upgrade price and when it will be available? While I still have money....
  17. I hope the new 3dcoat version would handle transparency better. There's some clipping issues I have with 3dc V4. Is there a way to do glass materials as well?
  18. Interested to see more videos of the poly modelling feature.
  19. Is there another way or a photoshop way to scale, move, rotate the image projector in 3dcoat? The current one is pretty cumbersome, always scaling from center. It would be nice if I could drag a corner of the image to scale, etc, so that its easier to align image projector to the mesh.
  20. I notice the guitar has smooth edges. Will we have subd support? Bevel shader that we can bake to normal map? Congrats!
  21. We definitely need this. On a shader level at least so we can make low poly models with better looking edges.
