Just a quick note, if anyone else has this problem, select transform and then go back to sketch. Other selections may work, but this is the first one I found.

It's not easy to do tutorials, but they do get easier as you go. I always find I'm stumbling around if I haven't done one for a while. Don't worry about mistakes as they can be good to show that anyone can have them. Unless you have quite a few. Try and do the 'tutorial' before actually recording, as you can identify areas where you'll run into problems or might actually find a different way to do something. Going back to your tutorial, I'm having one problem that I can not create a second 'sketch' object, either in the current or a new volume. I can see it in the viewport but it will not allow me to apply the volume. I did manage it on one (early) attempt, but somehow can not replicate it. Are you aware of any requirements for creating a new sketch?

I don't have wings.. And see that I can use my native LW to create the geometry. But I was hoping for something 3DC integrated.. Rich

Hi, just wondering if it's possible to have a linear / rectangular array tool (in Voxels). Similar to the Axial (radial) array, but have it so it's a straight line in X, Y or Z. With the same interactive distance and number of copies as in the Axial. Cheers Rich

Hi Phil, Yes, I'm looking at Voxels. I'm after something like 'axial' but where it duplicates in a straight line and not in a circle. I can see there is instancer and also I could copy and paste. But i was wondering if there was anything more automated. Rich

Is there a way of cloning an object X number of times in straight line? I can't see it in the manual... Rich

I suggest that anyone who is new to messiah, go to setuptab and look in the tutorials > beginner section (v4) for the quick tour (think that's what it's called). It'll explain the interface and give you a good start. Rich

Hey all, I've been playing with 3DC for a couple of months. And I know this is a dumb Q. Infact, I'm probably not asking the right question, so feel free to interpret.. How do I decide which room to use? I've been mainly playing with voxels(, and touching on the retopo system). But, a recent project has me looking at the paint side. How do I incorporate them? Rich

PMG are not going to accept your money and then say, oops sorry our fault for selling it to you at the reduced amount, and you can't have it. They are currently busy working on a system to sort the orders out, and get everyone up and running with messiah. At least that's what they said in the 3D world interview. Hence, the web site hasn't been updated. I can't say for fact, but I'd bet that the price will not remain at the viral price. It'll go back to what it was (or similar), or back to the full price. The refunds offered, where PMG being decent people. They aren't obliged to refund people. You pay what the price is, when you buy it. As richL said "If they change it back later today or tomorrow, will you than be sorry for missing it?" Rich

It's still allowing you to buy at the viral figures... It will just stop, but as of 2 mins ago you could still get it... Rich

If you still want it, try and order a copy. The options are still there at the $10 and $40. PMG regularly have the price at a lower figure. I.E; $499 instead of $1199. They run that for ages, but I wouldn't expect to see it drop any lower than the previous $499 (or whatever it was) once they have finished with the viral Dare to Share. The timer is showing -16 hours for me, but the wording is, expected to end... Rich

Just got round to getting a second Pro licence for my laptop... Don't know if it'll get used, but you can bet, if I haven't got it I'll be in a position where I want it.... Messiah is one of those 'secrets'.. Thanks to setuptab, everyone can now understand it... Rich

Cheers Greg.. Putting the cap's lock on or right clicking sorted it. If I get any more problems, no issue with recording as I use camtasia for mac / camtasia studio for all my recording stuff.. Cheers again, Rich

PMG have, for a long time had an offer on. Always, get it for X amount cheaper. But, this is the best ever.. I first got it when it was just an animation package. And updated as I went. Thankfully, version 5 co-insided with a move to a mac, and I didn't upgrade, due to change over process from PC to mac.. So this is a blessing.. The renderer is excellent, although the node system can take some getting used to. If you have any trouble, check out setuptab.com. Only question is, do I get a second license for my laptop........... Rich

Hey everyone... Still relatively new to 3DC, but loving it.. I've just watched the cartoon rat tutorial. Thought I'd have a little play. When I use the move tool, in front view. It moves the geometry up and forward (towards me, 45 degree angle). I'm sure it's just something simple, like a setting. But, can't find it. Anyone know where I'm going wrong.. Rich
