  1. Hello, I did have some trouble with Displacementmap right with Displacement, absolutely bad ... left quite good with normal map only... Booth pictures did have the same light settings. What should I set in C4D or/and in 3DCOAT, for a fine 1:1 translation?! EDIT I think its a lightproblem, because without Hypernurbs (its like Subdivision) it looks with the normal map bad too .... but knows anyone, what are the best displacementsettings with 3DCOAT & CINEMA4D?!
  2. Hey, danke super .... es hat geklappt. Aber es ist dabei auch 2x abgestürzt, dass ganze 3DCOAT Programm ... Habe jetzt noch eine andere Frage. Mache aber lieber einen neuen Thread auf!
  3. Hallo, ich hab eine realtive Anfängerfrage ... ich habe eine realistisch aussehende Hand versucht zu erstellen. So, stellt euch jetzt eine Hand vor, ohne Fingernägel, aber diese fingernagel-lose hand sieht schon recht gut aus - und befindet sich bereits im Exportstatus für andere 3D Programme. Fehlen noch die Nägel, die Nägel sollen eine seperate OBJ-Datei bilden, irgendwie kriege ich dass aber nicht richtig hin. 3DCOAT schmiert ab, auch kann ich im Paintroom keine Gruppen anlegen? Also Gruppe mit den Ebenen für die hand, Gruppe mit Ebenen für Fingernägel? Mein bisherige Lösung, Voxel-Hand löschen und die Nägel extra exportieren etc. also so kann ich es problemloser machen. Aber elegant finde ich den Weg nicht. Also nicht jede Voxelgruppe möchte ich zusammenmergen ... Nägel sollen beim rendern in externen 3D programmen ja durchlässig erscheinen.

  5. Hello, I created some days ago a nice Skin-Brush, for fine wrinkles in the skin. Best using I have try it by myself it in the SURFACE MODE, with the DRAW BRUSH und a deph with only 1-2%. Good also with the BUILD UP, also 1-2% ... and dont forget to hold CTRL Voxeldensity should be 4x, bettest I think is 6x Happy If you like my fine Skin-Brush1. If you like I can made more next time
  6. yes nice done, kitbashing-chingchong - I watched yesterday a great Tutorial too, about HARDSURFACE SCULPTING - I thing 3DCOAT is good Companion with MOI3D ... also RETOPO with MOI3D OBJECTS ... but I will do the most in 3DCOAT in this case

  8. hey fine to see this snowman thank for you answer Mr. Malo I see also, its very important to made more layers and work with multiresolution ... Its also a little bit sad, that LiveClay did increase the Polygon amount too - I was shocked, how fast it rises up :P ... nice tool, but I know its better to made all your needs with SURFACE and after this with LIVE CLAY, is this right?
  9. I have sometimes problems with the blob tool its unusable until a new start, and if Its working bad I have also the brush-loooking from the Plane-Tool there ...
  10. looks good what's the bettest voxel-resolution for adding fine details (super fine details in LIVECLAY - CLAY, thats ok) ? If I set 4x voxel-density in my scene it rises up very fast to many millions of polygons especially by larger bodyparts.

  12. Hey thank for your tipps, I will reshape now some things ... better to hide the protectors under some fabric/textile ... it mades all easier ... and the blades, okay, I did see now often "banana" blades too in Icehockey scenes ... thnks ...

  14. Hello dear 3DCoat Team/Users, I have a little Idae about the Measure Tol, what about the Idea, that we/can optional add marking Points for the next tool, as orientation? While using this tool e.g. one red point and one ble point e.g., or even 4 (red, blue, green, yellow) points like in some other tools, e.g. planar cutting ... now I have only this solution, marking after ther measure tool - changing the tool with shortcuts and making some small cuts in a voxelobject or setting small small spheres (on a extra voxellayer) with the sphere tool. Only this, I hope you understand what I mean. Maybe it would be also good, if the meassure tool can show the angel too maybe ... But just I didn't used this, maybe later, or for some other users is this useful. Maybe these points could be also have an interaction with the points in 'planar cutting / painting planar' ?

I use it silo also for small things or for the BaseMeshes - or I use it e.g. also for making own kitbashing-things for 3DCoat its a nice applictaion, but yes, it is sad that this is dead and it crashes sometimes often - but there is an AUTOSAFE too, but I would not pay money for abandon software - I hope it isn't?! I hope so much, that 3DCoat will never die like Silo I like 3DCoat more and more e.g. build an human-ear with Silo and build an human-ear with 3DCoat Box-modelling vs. Voxel. I did today build 2 ears, one in Silo and one in 3DCoat ... OMG - it was even with Silo a good idea to spend money for 3DCoat

Yeah chingchong, but I can made seperate 3DCoat files, maybe made my head separately on a new layer or in a new file and merge that to the basic shape ... the Ice scating boot of the left side is also a instance from the other side Thank you for your tipps, I will tweak the arms/shoulders ... too
  17. For posing and for the base mesh I used Silo. tweaking and better posing ... now I will tweak a little more more and build the next parts / details

  21. yeah, thank you ... but so I need for every ellipticshape e.g. an OBJ as a profile. Have also an other Question is it possible, that 3DCOAT can maybe import/export once a day *.ai splines?
