  1. I have built separate Wacom tablet test. Please download and try this test: http://www.3d-coat.com/~sergyi/Tests/3D-Coat-Pressure-Test.zip This is the engine of "3D-Coat" tablet input. It will show does the pen send pressure information to the application and you can see how application behaves during Wacom input. That zip file besides executables also contains two screenshots which show how it should look like. Please look at FPS. Please try both executables (DX - DirectX, and GL - OpenGL). Do you see similar problems? Please contact me directly "support DOT linux AT 3dcoat DOT com".
  2. Local license server "FServer" should be running only on one machine. There should be only one instance of "FServer" with the same serial number. The other instance will not acquire your license from our global license server 188.138.0.46 using port 80. Looking at your IP addresses again I have noticed that they are all global. There is no local IP address like 10.0.1.7. Is there router which connects all machines in your office and assigns them local IP addresses? Because all listed IP addresses are external that means that one of the listed combinations (192.168.100.1:8888, 192.168.70.1:8888, 192.168.178.75:8888) will work only if Firewall (or antivirus software) on your server machine with local license server "FServer" doesn't block external requests through port 8888. Open port 8888 in your Firewall (or antivirus software). Try to change port between local license server "FServer" and "3D-Coat" clients (create plain text file "port.dat" with another port number, for example 9999, in the same folder as the file "license.dat" is located and re-run "FServer", after that use combinations 192.168.100.1:9999, 192.168.70.1:9999, 192.168.178.75:9999). If for some reason security settings or network structure will not allow you to connect locally to "FServer" then the best way is to exchange your floating serial number on standalone (which should be entered directly into "3D-Coat" client). Please contact me directly "support DOT linux AT 3dcoat DOT com".
  3. According to the screenshot all possible combinations of IP:PORT for "3D-Coat" client which should be entered instead of serial number are: 192.168.100.1:8888 127.0.0.1:8888 (this is for local installation, that is "FServer" and "3D-Coat" are on the same machine) 192.168.70.1:8888 192.168.178.75:8888 To choose right IP:PORT combination try to enter them one-by-one in web-browser instead of "3D-Coat" client on your user machine.
  4. To resolve artifacts on "Retina" displays (aliasing and flickering) download 3D-Coat starting from "4.7.24" for macOS and uncheck "3D-Coat > Geometry > Incremental Render": http://3dcoat.com/forum/index.php?/topic/19525-3d-coat-47-beta-tesing-thread/
  5. The pressure on "Surface Pro 4" will work in "3D-Coat" if you will install optional WinTab driver for "Surface Pro 4". For example, from here (files "Wintab_x64_1.0.0.20.zip" and "Wintab_x32_1.0.0.20.zip"): https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=49498
  6. This is how "3D-Coat" currently supports "Retina Display". The support is not yet finished. Currently "3D-Coat" supports "Retina Display" only inside "On-screen framebuffer", but it doesn't support "Retina Display" inside "Off-screen render targets". When you are navigating or holding [ALT] then "3D-Coat" renders scene into "On-screen framebuffer" which supports "Retina Display". But on idle "3D-Coat" is displaying "Off-screen render target" which currently doesn't support "Retina Display". In the next BETA-build this behaviour will be disabled because we need some more time to implement support for "Retina Display" inside "Off-screen render targets".
  7. Because as you have noticed this problem is specific to the particular file(s) please send me all involved files to the support DOT linux AT 3dcoat DOT com
  8. Download the latest build from here: Install proprietary graphics drivers (from NVIDIA or AMD). Try "GL" version too.
  9. The user has reported that in 3D-Coat 4.7.11 text fields work. According to the video the performance decreases because the brush radius is too big (in the video the brush extends to whole screen). Navigate using smaller brush radius or use navigate buttons in the top of the viewport. Under the Windows the behaviour is the same.
  10. Black screen under macOS Sierra is sign that this is not "4.7.08A". Remove folder "/Applications/3D-CoatV4-7". Remove (or backup) folder "~/3D-CoatV47". Reinstall "3D-Coat 4.7.11" from here: http://3dcoat.com/forum/index.php?/topic/19525-3d-coat-47-beta-tesing-thread/ Please contact me directly "support DOT linux AT 3dcoat DOT com".
  11. Remove folder "/Applications/3D-CoatV4-7". Remove (or backup) folder "~/3D-CoatV47". Reinstall "3D-Coat 4.7.08A". I am asking that because we received letters from OS X users with similar problems which were solved by clean reinstall. Please contact me directly "support DOT linux AT 3dcoat DOT com".
  12. There were some problems with our FTP. Please download "4.7.08A" from here: http://3dcoat.com/forum/index.php?/topic/19525-3d-coat-47-beta-tesing-thread/ I have clean reinstalled "macOS Sierra" and "3D-Coat 4.7.08A" works under "macOS Sierra" indeed.
  14. "3D-Coat 4.7.08" for OS X has been updated. Now it should work under "macOS Sierra". Please download it here: http://3dcoat.com/forum/index.php?/topic/19525-3d-coat-47-beta-tesing-thread/ Please report any issues directly to me at "support DOT linux AT 3dcoat.com"
  16. Thanks for the report. Actually not so easy because I have to install Sierra on my iMac to check does 3D-Coat work under it at all.
  17. For example I have managed to reproduce the error "Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item" on my "Windows 10" by creating "Local account" of type "Standard User" and then unchecking checkbox "Read & execute" in "Properties > Security > Edit > Users (MY_PC_NAME\Users)" on file "FServer.exe". Checking "Full control" fixes the problem (can be made from "Administrator" account). The same should be applied to the file "FServer_Service.exe". Please see the attached screenshot.
  18. The error "Windows cannot access the specified device..." means that you should run "FServer" from account with "Administrator" rights. Also you can try to check the rights from current "Standard" account. Right click "C:\3D-Coat-FServer" > Properties > Security > Edit > select your current account > check "Full control" > OK (please see the attached screenshot).
  19. 1. Make sure that under "System Preferences > Users & Groups > Current User" the account type is "Admin". If it is not try to run 3D-Coat as admin. Inside "Terminal" do: $ sudo /Applications/3D-CoatV4-7/3D-Coat.app/Contents/MacOS/3D-Coat 2. Remove folder "/Applications/3D-CoatV4-7". Remove (or backup) folder "~/3D-CoatV47". Reinstall 3D-Coat from here: http://www.3d-coat.com/~sergyi/3D-CoatV4-7-07.dmg 3. Regarding Mac issues please contact me directly "support DOT linux AT 3dcoat DOT com". Please send me log file "~/3D-CoatV47/Log.txt".
  20. 3D Mouse behaves under OS X in the same manner as under Windows starting from 3D-Coat 4.7.07 for OS X. Please download it from here:
  21. 1. Instead of “Z” on English keyboard we have “W” on French keyboard therefore Cmd-W will undo the action on French keyboard. Instead of “Z” on English keyboard we have “Y” on German keyboard therefore Cmd-Y will undo the action on German keyboard. This is known problem which should be fixed in time. 2. 3D-mouse should work in the same manner on all platforms. Please try to temporarily rename (or remove) file "~/3D-CoatV47/Options.xml" to reset 3D-mouse settings and please specify more details on "Up/Down and Front/Back are reversed". P.S. Regarding Mac issues please contact me directly "support DOT linux AT 3dcoat DOT com".
  22. The problem with "Control" key has been solved in 4.7.05 for OS X. Please download it from here: http://3dcoat.com/forum/index.php?/topic/19525-3d-coat-47-beta-tesing-thread/
  23. Please download the latest 4.7.04 for OS X from here: http://3dcoat.com/forum/index.php?/topic/19525-3d-coat-47-beta-tesing-thread/ "Calculate Curvature" and "Calculate Occlusion" work as expected.
  24. Please download 4.7.01 for OS X with fix from here: http://3dcoat.com/forum/index.php?/topic/19525-3d-coat-47-beta-tesing-thread/
  25. This is because OpenGL on your system is using "Mesa" graphics driver provided by "VMware, Inc.". Is this virtual machine? 3D-Coat only supports proprietary graphics drivers. For example here is described how to install NVIDIA proprietary driver: http://pilgway.com/~sergyi/LinuxDocs/LinuxGraphicsDriver.pdf
