  1. one more head... this time i tried to catch up an african face, hope it was successful For Eyebrow, Hair and Beard i used Artmans Skin-Brushes ^^
  2. Looks like he is made of sandstone, is that supposed to be like this? Are that scarfs on the cheeks?
  3. thanks for the tipp, i'll try this. And happy birthday Tony... 7 is great number and double 7 even more... congratulations
My tips are now a little bit outdated (1 year ago ), but Surface Mode is usually still better for budget Workstations.
  5. Update of my sculpt posted before Hope he looks now more Asian (besides the green Eyes of the J-Eye Shader, how can i change the iris of the shader?), I adjusted the Eyelids and Eyehole for a more asian look. Does it look asian too you? Trying to get best results for Hair, this one is a Voxlayer sculpted. @Tony Nemo: hope this time it doesnt look like a rug
  6. Just to understand, why would you need to subdivide your mesh? If youre using Liveclay, there is a dynamic tessalation only in the regions where needed. An overall subdivision is imho not necessary btw: Do you have Artmans presets? I guess they arent so hungry for Polygons, because i have no troubles with them. Really nice presets. Cheers
  7. An old asian guy, 2million tris , 2h Man, that was fun to sculpt ... I'm lovin it ... (just upgraded last week to V4, what a difference) Thanks Andrew for programming, Artman for presets and Beat Kitano for your streams (was very instructive) Does anyone have a tip for hair-workflow?
  8. hehe yes, one of my current shortcomings in 3DC, create hair. im tried to produce the hair through a voxlayer, because i found it tiring to do so with "muscles", they always end up in the air, out of control
  9. Trying out Artmans presets, (Thank you very much, your presets gave me back faith in sculpting abilities of 3DC) Just a regular guy, based on bust of 3DC I experienced one problem, how can i adjust the distance between the eyeballs? They are in one layer with symetry on.
  10. Now, thats really new sculpting experience in 3DC , what a great difference to V3.xx Its now enjoyable to sculpt... Thanks Artman
  11. http://labs.autodesk.com/utilities/miller not tried it out, yet but maybe someone is interested... There is a STL and OBJ export.
  13. trying to improve my 2D skills , little sketching while watching "The Mentalist" season 6, (which ended as "reference" for sketching) inspired by this thread http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=91898, (noticable progress) ..... i also share same problem, lacking in painting/ sketching . (hopefully there will be some progress for me too.) Hope you dont mind, if im putting also 2d pics here
  14. Hmm... Agisoft is still the best in this field http://www.agisoft.ru/products/photoscan/standard/
  15. Thats really wow... i think im gonna upgrade to V4 and spend some time again in 3dcoat after my long break. Dont like Manual Retopo, therefore autopo is made for me : good work and thanks for sharing @ ancient Regime
  16. Just a quick sketch, A Dawn of a new era, manifested in a Kings Throne Finally the last Dragon was defeated by the Lord of the Wings an his Gryphon . Though it will never be manifested in digital clay ^^ cheers
  17. nice dragon , looks good too bad he woud never be able to fly with that massive tail and those little wings , i guess he have to flap his wings like a collibri
  18. looks cool, so bad that i dont have any friends located in Japan.
And now in english here, quoting Taros:
  22. cool stuff, just managed to purchase it... was a bit lazy to fill out the registration form.... but now im a happy student of Leigh
