  1. Zumindest zu 3. gibts es die möglichkeit mit Proxy-Funktion zu arbeiten hier das offizielle video dazu, hoffe es hilft. Zu den großen Dateien, es kann sein, dass das ein Bug ist, ich hatte auch ab und zu Riesen-Datein, die waren aber defekt. Ich hatte mit jedem erneuten Speichern die doppelte Datei-Größe (ohne dass ich viel verändert habe). Möglicherweise ist aber auch dein Objekt von Anfang an zu groß angelegt worden (vom Volumen her), da sinkt die Performance auch rapide ab. Vorallem weil man dann große Brush-Radien wählen muss. Zu 2. Das "Sculpen" mit Layern ala Mudbox (Ist das wie in Photoshop?) geht vielleicht im Paint-Room, dort kannst du kleine Bearbeitungen (Geometrie) ja auch vornehmen. Im Sculpting-Raum für Voxel oder LC-Modeling (Polygon) ist mir das bisher nicht aufgefallen.

  3. with a clean system backup (image), you could have avoided reinstalling all programs ....imo

  5. as for Microsofts RT They have to treat the manufacturer of tablets for RT better, i dont think their strict strategy regarding Surface (prototype) will be successfull. They should open the prototype more to the other manufacturers ( which have more experience in creating good hardware).

  8. Ah... the fascination of morbid things and crime is like an addiction to mankind. See if there is a catastrophe people are shocked and deeply moved when they are watching the TV-News on that, but when the news finished they switch to another program and are glued to the TV for watchin murder, crime and violence So addiction is the right word, imo. You know its bad, but you do it anyway.
  9. thats not the point guess what, LOTR are among my all time favourite movies. The point for me is, that it is too much and at least it makes me also tired. Its like your favourite dish, you would not want to have it every day 3 times . That makes art somehow generic, imo of course
  10. As for me ive nothing against the hobbit or LOTR, but i agree there are way to much 'creatures' on the CG sites. Thats why i appreciate Michalis' sculpts. They are unique and not another Monster thing. And you cannot say Da Vinci only drew Dragons and monsters, yes they are part of the art, but nowadays there is an inflationary use of it. Its more like crafting, maye not art in the pure sense at all, art has some depth within at least for me.
  11. +1 on first post. sometimes i have the feelings: Some artists do freaks, monsters etc, because you can hide your artistic disability in such imaginary creatures , imho at least it was the reason, why i unsubscribed the Mag 3D Artist... too much of freaky freaks for my taste ...lol
  12. i think they will release a standalone editor afterwards, when game is done. Its actually worth even back for that incredible engine. the aspect, that he ( Madoc) wrote the engine alone, reminds me somehow of Andrew.... there are really smart people out there... On the Forum he mentioned also t hat they wont using hardware anti- aliasing but another software approach which will give better results... such things are really amazing regarding this project btw : only 2more days
  13. to resurrect this from the death....i d like to see this funded there is one tier on which you can design a weapon for the game, maybe thats interesting for some here. only 6 days left, hurry up if youre intrested. this guy wrote the amazing and somehow groundbreaking engine on his own, and the plans are outstanding for the game.
  14. basically i thought of the function which is available in Hexagon 3d http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=z-YxGE4dB_4&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3Dz-YxGE4dB_4&gl=DE i mean the part 0:35 till 0:50 could be also done per brush selection. select objects 'snapping' Region and second select 'target' region for snapping. this way the object would be snapped automatically on right place and in right direction, without transforming and rotating manually. hexagon does this with edges and faces, but maybe it is possible with brush selection like in the bridge tool, you aalready built. that means it would be for snapping different objects on each other

  17. Is this the primitive/merge tool? switching to another tool should turn it off or do you mean the freeform-option? you can clear that in tools options panel

  20. yeah i saw this but what have i to else after checking them? what is meaned by cam shortcuts. Do i have to press the num pad keys during rendering?
  21. hi, i want to create a turntable, but the camera moving is not what i want. The object is not rotating around center. How can i select the rotating point?
  22. Maybe asked before, but i dont know what to search for. How can i have a blank (color) shading, when switching from voxel room to paint room... i mean a neutral color (white), to start with painting
