  2. Hi folks, I was wandering if anyone could explain the best practise approach for tileable voxel sculpting in 3D Coat? I have downloaded a file that Andrew released "TiledVoxels" however I find that pretty difficult to line up the edges of the centre quad, I also tried the Surface Menu Preset Tile/s. Is there a way to carry the stroke over the mesh border like in Z-Brush? Many thanks for any ideas. All the best Greg I've been looking through these so far http://3d-coat.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=6518 http://3d-coat.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=11454 http://3d-coat.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=6518&pid=88252&st=0entry88252 http://3d-coat.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=11454&&page=3

  5. Anyone have a suggestion on creating and retopologizing a mouth cavity?
  6. Hi noob question time... I've modelled a character in voxels. I've run AUTOPO (which is all kinds of fun) What I then get in the paint room is a lower quality mesh to paint on. I don't understand what the relationship is between the voxel sculpt and the mesh. If I bake out maps will they conform to the mesh or the voxels? Should I just set the settings higher at the AUTOPO point so that I don't lose detail at the mesh point. (I should make it clear I don't mean the really low poly autopoed animation mesh, I mean the high density poly mesh that's created for you paint on. Do you need to create this lower poly mesh? Would a directly converted voxel sculpt of 20 million polys explode my computer?). It's just that it's lost quite a bit of detail (like teeth) despite pushing up quite high... (also if I have a k4000 should I use the cuda or ogl version of V4) many thanks Olly
  7. Hello guys. What would be the best approach to cut voxel volume where the upper and lower lips meet? I only need a gentle cut in order to reach the inner mouth area, but the cut must be really thin - I don't want to loose too much of lips' definition. I have not converted the volume to surface yet.

  10. Hi everybody! I have recently been learning 3D Coat and its intuitive interface, incredible speed and robust and "full pipeline" (sculpt-retopo-UV-paint-render) tools continue to amaze me. However I miss some tool for masking, or freezing the voxels that I don't want to be affected .. I know in surface mode, there is the freeze tool and it works exactly as I would expect, but why is it not in the voxel room? It would be awesome, to be able to mask out some areas and sculpt without worying of unwanted modification of voxels I don't want to sculpt.. Or am i missing some other way to mask voxels in voxel room? Thank you for any answer and suggestion! Happy voxeling to you all!
  11. Hello everyone! Here is a sculpture I have been working on for a bit. Can you guess where this guy is from? Feel free to critique .
