  1. Hi, This is not a very serious issue, but rather a small small annoyance: 3D Coat on Steam does not show the time spent using it. For me it always shows "0.0 hrs on record".   2. 1 pixel may pick a certain (true) color and the pixel next would sample false (see-through style) Edit > Project through and Backface culling have no effect This happens seemingly randomly, on various imported objects and from both ortho and non-ortho views
  3. Hi, i frequently get crashes in both DG and in GL Version. Especially in paint room! Is there a way to fix the crash? Did not find any solution in internet
  4. Testing 3D Coat. Using windoiws 10 64bit creator update. When i select a smart material and then the fill option, i get a dialog. "Filling may take a long time, continue ?" At that point i do not have any mouse pointer as long it's in the 3D coat program or until i close the window with the shortcut key

  6. I'm painting in 3D Coat and i have everything organized inside groups, whenever I send to photoshop and saved there, the groups get messed up. Already tried everything, I have removed all the groups and created new ones, already changed the name of each layer (with and without "_" ) and each group, this always happens. There is no space in the names, everything works normal until i save in photoshop and return to 3D Coat. The bottom group is added to the top group creating a ladder of groups, one inside the other. I already exported all layers as .psd, opened in photoshop, saved and reimportei in a new file in 3D Coat and the same happens How can I fix this problem? Even if i put all groups inside a main group holding all groups this happens after i save in photoshop EDIT: Also tried with 3D Coat 4.7.23 64-bit. Same problem
  7. I don't know what's going on but for some reason my stroke mode quits rubber banding to show the selection. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Is there a setting I'm accidently toggling? Here's a link showing the issue.
  8. I redoktiruyu projection in your wonderful application (no sarcasm), save and turn into 3D COAT and distortion occurs. Please help fix
  9. Encountered this today during one of countless external editor sessions: The upper image is pre-edit. The one below shows the texture as it came back from PS. There are numerous pixelly distortions (circled in blue), all were created when the texture was sent to PS from 3DC. Solution was re-import theOBJ and reassign the textures, but still... This thread would typically go in the paint mode bugs forum, but that has not been updated for 2 years so... I also made a thread in 'features' forum which I intended to keep udpate but I am unable to reply to my own thread, I guess it was locked? if a mod can chip in here it would be nice
  10. hey, so if i have an object with a lot of overlapped / mirrored uves, 3d coat either takes a loong time to open it or it crashes, is there something i need to tick off , is it trying to calculate something even if i set it to "keep the uv's " ?
  11. Okey so i am making a sword. First I made the blade and then i made the hilt. A fter retopologizing the blade i painted it and everything went fine. But when i tried to paint the hilt i do not get any metalness or roughness. in the submitted picture i painted with the same brush on the hilt and the blade to show that the metalness only affects the blade. Please help me.
  12. This has been a bug since I've owned the program and it's so frequent and not being fixed that I'm starting to think about switching, which is really disappointing. It requires me to completely redo the model. I don't know why it does it, but i just opened a file and the model was corrupt. It also happens while modeling. BUT, I found a workaround, which is really odd. I've uploaded the 3D coat file ("6.b") 1) Problem: The polygons corrupt and become 'jagged' 2) Solution: Resample the model and it doesnt matter what value you resample it. I don't know if this will always fix it but its working for now 6.3b
  13. 1. Create voxel model 2. Switch to paint room 3. Start paint -> then program crush immediately I'm on mac, version 4.5.40.
  14. After a crash, always Bug Report fails to send. I would very much like to be helpful and send them, but I always get red text "Error ocurred while sending Bug report" please, "Occurred" (past tense: occurred; past participle: occurred) I'm running4.5.40 GL64 Win I'm using Windows 7 and latest Google Chrome
  15. So I use 3d coat to help with making skins for the game csgo. (counterstrike global offensive) The problem is on a few obj weapon models there are invisible spots were the gun is just not rendered in 3d coat. This in turn translates to being nothing (checkered background) in photoshop when I send to edit in external editor. Also when I look at this same area of the model from another angle it displays correctly. It seems one side of this polygon is invisible while the other side works as it should. Ultimately it turns into a white triangle on the finished product. Any ideas on what's happening here? I'm using the steam version of 3dcoat with windows 10, Nvidia 970 graphics card, 3770k cpu.   16. Hi guys, Does anyone know why 3d-coat is giving me the wrong layers inside the Paint room? I exported my Obj and then imported it into the Paint room. I've tried restarting the program and selecting other meshes but nothing seems to solve this issue. It's very frustrating not being able to handle my material layers I hope someone knows the answer
  17. There is a bug affecting every model I create. It's really inconsistent. Sometimes when I undo or smooth, or turn symmetry off, it corrupts my mesh and is irreparable. It basically causes he mesh to have zero width on some part of it. I can't even undo to reverse the changes and hope to god that I have saved a recent backup. See attachment to view what happens. Notice the top part of the model's head that looks like its see through and pixelated almost.
  18. If I import any fbx file for Per Pixel Painting that was generated by 3D Coat, no matter how large the file is, 3D Coat crashes instantly. But, it only happens with fbx files that 3D coat has created. This forum won't let me start a new topic in the bug forum so I have to do it here. I need to be able to import fbx files because it's the only thing that supports multiple uv sets.
  19. Hi Guys just wondering if anyone knows why I get this dark line in my geometry when using the pose tool? If I try to pose/move the selected area, it just poses one side of the geometry and not the other.
  20. Version: 4.5.19(DX64) Windows7 Home CPU: i7 RAM: 12Gb "Paint" room. I have 7 Layer Folders in Project, 20 layers each. Click Textures -> Export -> Export Layers w/ Depth, Color & Glossiness ALWAYS saved .color.psd, .specular.psd, and then Сrashes in a few seconds with Exception (mscoreei.dll , see attached screenshots).
  21. I was attempting to apply the Vox Extrude tool after making a selection, the layer was in surface mode, but it was the only layer visible. There were several other layers but they were turned off. I was having some odd behavior with the auto-save previously where I would see the counter counting down and I would ctrl-s save, which would cause the count-down to disappear as it should but then it would re-appear and start counting where it left off before I saved, as though it wasn't recognizing my save attempt. Then, when I put my above note into the crash reporter and tried to send my crash I got this error: Fatal error: Cannot access empty property in /var/www/vhosts/3dcoat.com/httpdocs/typo3conf/ext/bug_report/pi1/class.tx_bugreport_pi1.php on line 107 So I've attached my crash output to this post as well as the above comments. Hope that helps fix things!

Version: 4.5.19(DX64) Windows7 Home These operations, running from own Script: Bake w/ Normal Map (Per-Pixel), Retopo->per pixel (no baking), and maybe other Retopo->Paint operations (not checked), reset 3D-Coat Preferences (Edit->Preferences) to default, and used it, not actual: Normal Map Software Preset Normals Calculation Method Normal Maps Export Triangulation Method Tangent Space Standard and maybe other fields (not checked).
  23. Hi. Version: 4.5.19(DX64) on Windows7 Home Steps to reproduce: 1. Run 3D-Coat 2. Open any project or not to open anything. 3. Windows -> Popups -> Color Swatches 4. Click dropdown on Color Swatches window, then click "Load..." 5. Click Cancel 6. Wait a few seconds... 7. Crash. See screenshot in attachment.
  24. Hello, I got 3DCoat in order to do some destruction sculpting. Unfortunately, it constantly crashes when I substract (error message says: increase size of virtual memory). And I did just like it was described in one of the earlier posts. The issue keeps repeating. Also, I can import objects, which have more than 10 mil polygons, but that's not the biggest problem. Also, there's a problem, that 3DCoat automatically merges complex objects into one mesh. It completely destroys meshes like brick wall, made from separate bricks. Anybody has this issue, know how to fix it?
  25. Hi again! I've been making a model in 3D Coat. I created two UV sets and started painting. Everything was great before i tried to export my textures out... so here is what i got (img below). As i see 3D Coat mixed my both UV sets and i cannot find a way how to prevent it... Color and Displacement textures exports well but Specular color and Emissive DONT! Img below is an emissive one, specular color looks the same bad ver. 3D-COAT 4.5.23
