  1. Hello, I know you guys probably hate hearing zbrush this or blender that so I'm sorry in advance. I've fallen in love with 3D coat and I want it to be the best. With that said I'd like to request a tool that is super convenient for big and small edits in both the modeling and sculpt rooms. This is a brush option that will allow the user to move all vertices that lay underneath the brush. This would be insanely useful in the modeling room where the geometry is low and predictable. Allowing the user to work in an orthographic view and affect all the geometry behind. I believe zbrush does some sort of trace the size of the brush and any vertices that arent masked are moved in screen space. If this functionality already exists let me know because I need it! Here are some youtube links of the brush inside of zbrush to use as an example Example one Example 2
  2. Hello, when I open a 3DCoat project as a new session, and import an object, I get the prompt to preserve the scale of the object for export (Yes or No). Clicking "Yes" will ostensibly scale the entire scene — and in my experience when exporting, the relative size of the object imported into 3DCoat is maintained 1:1 in the origin app when exporting from 3DCoat. This is a great and very essential feature and saves a ton of scaling work or messing about with units, etc. However, here's my quesiton: Is this scale stored anywhere? Is it possible to persist it between sessions, like "loading" this scale setting for instance when working with something that is intended to be sent to Blender or something? I can find FBX export units mm/cm/m but not anything like scene scale anywhere. I'd much appreciate any info on where I can find something like current scene scale relative to default scene scale, or change it, if it exists Thank you for your time and any responses
  3. 3D-Coat doesn't save the workspace I've been using. On every startup it defaults back to the original. Kind of. There's an exception though. If I drag the tool panels on the right from their docked positions, they just kind of disappear. Same happens if I try to customize the UI. https://youtu.be/vRNQ1IoEiLA I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I've deleted the folders in Documents. Nothing works. This same behaviour has occured on 4.9.49 and now on 4.9.53 and this is starting to piss me off.
  4. Hi, I want to increase number of undo, but I can`t find were this settings located 3D Coat 4.8
  5. This auto uv map feature 3D coat looks very good! One small issue was in noisy areas of mesh it made many small islands, I am wanting to just uv unwrap the broader/bigger surfaces automatically as a starting point. Is there anyway to control the result so that islands must be of a min size/cluster? Or must I go through afterwards and find all these tiny islands to merge/weld them back manually afterwards?
  6. Not sure where and if it's possible to change or adjust mouse wheel sensitivity. On Windows 7 and mouse has no acceleration in windows config and is pretty standard. However in 3DCoat, I've set my preferences to have the middle mouse wheel change my brush angle. However it's changing the brush angle in huge increments like 720 degrees with just the most delicate input. Is there a place to fix this? Preferences>Viewport>Mouse Wheel = Brush Rotation Wheel Zoom for settings below this area are all at default of 1.0 I'm using the latest build of 3DCoat as well. Thanks, Jason
  7. This morning I did some tests in the painting room and I saw something about my setup. I have a NVidia Quadro K2000 in ubuntu 14.04 and I am using private drivers, it seems is not available in 3d coat. Then I made a rendering of PBR and the result was terrible, I know this should not be so because this Texture worked for a time in Windows 10 with a test copy of 3D-Coat and rendering did not look like this. Can anybody help me?. Thanks.
  8. I saved my project , and when i came back to it the green coloured re-topology is now just black line which i cant join/atactch more topology to. how do i change it back?
  9. I don't know if this is where this needs to be reported, but I found a bug in 3.7.18H[CUDA] 64-bit. If I want to change the background settings, I can do so in the preferences just fine...as in going from Vertical Gradient to Background Image to Panorama. However, if I go to the background settings under the camera dropdown at the top right of the screen and try to change them, nothing happens.
