  1. I’ve completed modeling and smoothing group work in 3ds Max, and now I’m trying to texture the model in 3DCoat. However, when I export the model from 3ds Max as an FBX or OBJ file and import it into 3DCoat, the smoothing groups don’t appear as they did in Max. Sometimes all the smoothing groups are gone, or they all seem to be merged into one, which makes the model look different from what I originally created. How can I properly import my model so that 3DCoat retains the smoothing groups as they appear in 3ds Max? Thanks in advance! in 3dsmax / fbx in 3d coat / obj in 3d coat
  2. Hi there, I'm new to 3D Coat. Whenever I export OBJs from 3D Coat, they appear to have no (or wrong) smoothing groups in UE4? Help would be much appreciated! Thanks, Robert
  3. Hi! When i import my LP mesh into surface mode to sculpt some details on it, after merging (after hitting "Apply" and choosing e.g. LiveClay tool) it becomes like this (on the right): Is there a way to keep the sharp smoothing groups? Or to preserve original smoothing groups?
  4. Hi there I use 3DC in my UVing workflow and have an issue with exporting smoothing groups from 3DC. I do have them when exporting from Maya, but seem to lose them when re-exporting from 3D Coat. How do I make sure I include the smoothing groups when exporting to FBX from 3D Coat? Also: Is the switch to FBX Version 7.3 planned/on the horizon? Cheers, Michael PS: I'm on Version 4.0.18 (Cuda/DX64)
