  1. Hi All, This is part two of how to build quick and easy terrains in 3D Coat. I go over working with higher quality Height Fields (4k) along with using adjustment layers to balance out specific areas or features that are added to the terrain design. Cheers.
  2. Hey everyone, This is thread to follow the development of a project that I have been developing called Gladiotron. It is an original project and hopefully the first of many. My pipeline consists primarily of Blender and 3D Coat, with some other applications for authoring PBR textures and then ending up in Unity. Our target platform is PC and Console initially, then possibly mobile afterwards. I have a few goals with this project. 1. To engage the 3d Coat and Blender communites 2. To share development progress on the art assets and the game 3. To work with the 3D Coat team in a similar way to the way the Blender Foundation creates film projects to drive the development of the application
  3. Hi, I've been working on creating a demo level for the new Banshee Engine (www.banshee3d.com) The engine is not yet ready and still in development. Since I started it, I'm building the application from source (github) as the developer update it and add features... Everything you see is still wip. Once the Banshee Engine will release the final version, I will post the completed level pictures... All of the model geometry started from 3DS Max, then the UV and painting were done inside 3D Coat. 3D Coat has been incredible to help me add those details and have really nice textures. I had to resort of only using 3DS Max for the bigger parts (like the walls, floor and ceiling), because those parts needed tiled textures. This is some sort of underground base, with a spaceship inside. I plan to have more room (hangar with lifting platform and perhaps a bar). Later we would add some interaction like opening the doors, and lighting up the level (all is dynamic and using a PBR pipeline) There is no light baking and all is rendered from the engine in real time. There is more than 100+ light in this scene. Since the ship and all of the level are made by parts; here is the cabin interior from the 3D Coat interface: Here is the game editor interface with the ship interior: Here are from the game camera:
  4. Hey folks. First things first this video is SPOILER FREE in terms of the game’s story. The only things that could be considered even light spoilers would be our conversations about the opening hour of the game, and some footage of environments beyond the starting zone. We produced the video in a way that it wouldn’t negatively impact anyone who hasn’t played the game yet, so feel free to dive in. Also, this is also our final documentary of 2017. We have some Sessions dropping over the holiday break, but we just wanted to take the opportunity to thank you all for watching our productions in 2017. It’s been wonderful to watch you react and comment on the work we’ve created. We hope wherever you are in the world you enjoy the final weeks of the year, and maybe spend some time catching up with some of the year’s games you missed out on. Noclip

  6. I made a game asset based on my class materials for concept design class. I've done the design 1 and half year ago, but made it as 3D model for fun. MAR-z0

MAR-z0 is 3d low poly model maked in spare time. I had a friend he liked very much “Toki”. MAR-z0 is an acronym that recalls its name. 3D-Coat haved a lot importance for creation model. I have retopogized from hi-poly model, texturized, baked and render. I think about 3D-Coat is one of best software for this. I try now to improve my skills for sculpt but is not simple... I arrive from ZBrush. ;-)

  23. Hello, again, folks! I've managed to finally get another training course established on Udemy. This time, it's called "Simple Game-Ready Asset Creation In 3D Coat." OK, so the title isn't so simple, but the aim is to focus on the process of making a game-ready asset in 3D Coat and getting it into a game engine. Below are the highlights: - 15 videos, covering over 2 hrs of instruction (not too long, not too short, honing in on most important concepts) - Simple asset creation (because most tutorials that aim to help you get your assets into a game engine spend too much time on the asset and not the process) - Organized process from concept to game engine (UDK and Unity) - Plus a bonus on how to get your asset into Marmoset! (For beauty shots!) The first 5 people to purchase the course will get 50% off the price, SO ACT FAST!!! COUPON: https://www.udemy.com/simple-game-ready-asset-creation-in-3d-coat/?couponCode=U3D1002 DIRECT COURSE LINK: https://www.udemy.com/simple-game-ready-asset-creation-in-3d-coat/ <-- Currently only privately viewable, so 3D Coat community members get first dibs!
  24. Two characters I've created a while back. Probably the most detailed models I've made with 3D-Coat so far. Now that I have a new, more powerful PC I hope to finish them.
