I removed these videos as they have become outdated with the new developments in the Brush Engine for Version 4.0.05H of 3DC.

Creating brushes based off the LC General Brush had a few problems as well.

A new video will be available when I have the time to make one.

I used RecordMyDesktop in Ubuntu 12.04, it is very lightweight. Youtube will recognized the ogv format and convert for Youtube use. I had some problems with RecordMyDesktop in Ubuntu 10.04 but as stated I'm not a power user of Linux. Arista is nice video transcoder also though I found that Youtube has no problems with converting the ogv format

I ran out of time to complete the second video tonight, I will finish tommorrow morning and upload it to Youtube...

...WOW...Awesome Tutorial!

I learned so much from this. :D

It may all seem so basic and trivial to others, but it is critical and vital stuff to understand.

The "Remove Stretching" Function looks amazing.

I have the newest Trial Version, but will be purchasing the Educational version in 2 weeks...

...I cannot wait

Thank You Digman

hi, Always brush size is proportional to object ?

Is there any way to make a new brush preset that keep brush size from any distance view.

I need a constant bush size.

Doesn't matter the distance to object... brush size never changes.

- Far away

Can sculpt big strokes

- Near view

Can sculpt tiny strokes

This is a fantastic tutorial. Although it says it's for new users the 3D Coat user experience I have had had has always been patchy because fundamental things like this are not in the manual, ( what manual there is). A great deal is assumed of the user. These should be included at the top of the list in my opinion. Digman explains the very basic functionality in such a way that it hits the spot perfectly.
