Community please again:

If you find a resolved bug that was placed by you into mantis before then confirm and close it there, please.

I found some bugs resolved, but by respect cant close a request opened by another reporter.

Please old reporters, take your time to do a history reported search and close its.

Deleted the post. Because... stupid me.. :rofl:

Anyway, scene units aren't saved with the scene. So each time I reload the scene I have to set them back to centimetres. Or at least every time you enter the Define measurement units window, after loading the scene

it resets to millimetres.

Andrew,

Nice little touch there in beta 13A where you now change the cursor icon to a "NO" symbol when hovering over the object while holding down alt and rotating - this makes it clear that you are not able to paint or operate while the rotate is in motion. It's little touches like this that make a nice UI! :)

EDIT: Ok, I don't know what I'm talking about, because that little No/cancel cursor symbol stopped showing up now as I rotate. Now I'm not sure why it appeared....

Andrew, Did 13A reverse the fix you did a while ago where you made the Paint room materials respect the alpha channel when painting? I thought this was fixed in a previous update, now only color respects the alpha, depth and spec do not respect the alpha channel when using a projection material to paint anymore. I can't remember which version this was fixed in, but in 13A this fix is gone. Can you please put this fix back? It was very useful to stamp image spec'ed or depth punched logos while painting. thanks!

Possibly the two functions are interrelated in the code of 3DC.

Rendering semi-transparent objects improved, now will be renderd correctly (sorted from back to front) almost always.

The Merge subtree...function seems broken. When I try to merge the mannequin, for example, the top layer is left, but there is nothing visible in the viewport.

When using file --> merge object, to import a model (with/without UV's) into an existing scene you cant see the UV's of the newly merged model somehow...

This happens in v 3.7 and v4 latest beta..

That is not what Merge subtree is for. Merge subtree merges the already existing voxel layers under the one you're using Merge subtree on.

Just installed 13A for mac. The pen/wacom rotation drift is *still* present. It's been there for several months. The relevant mantis issue was closed by Andrew, claiming it was fixed in 12A. It wasn't. I provided feedback as such in mantis, that the issue was still present on the mac.

It is a serious issue. I cannot use an application that is constantly drifting and changing the view while I work. I fact, I've stopped using 3D Coat because of it. Trying very hard not to be snarky here, but it's difficult when a bug that renders an application unusable is left to linger for months while "Huge amount of typos fixed" gets the priority.

I've been using Combine With Children. I'm not sure what the difference is.

Merge subtree combines them and gets rid of child layers. The other just combines them, but keeps the other layers intact.

Right-click doesn't work on closed spline draw mode, if the point is not over the object. This makes it hard to work with. Plus, when you click ESC to finish the spline, 3D Coat leaves it open. It doesn't close it.

Thanks, Andrew. I had this same problem, but it appears to be fixed. This was a very annoying bug, so thanks for the quick response.

bug in mac 13a, these are the steps.

• go to paint room - load a model

• select a projection image

• bug = you cant reduce the opacity below 100 % so you cant see your model
