Reputable Contributor AbnRanger Posted October 3, 2012 Reputable Contributor Share Posted October 3, 2012 nope... just adding few ones, restarting app and are ok v4-64GL I installed V4 and then copied my shaders from the V3 directory and now only 1/3 of the shaders show in the pallet. Not good. Link to comment https://3dcoat.com/forum/index.php?/topic/10395-v41-beta-experimental-4117d/page/4/#findComment-80833 Share on other sites

Advanced Member stusutcliffe Posted October 3, 2012 Advanced Member Share Posted October 3, 2012 AbnRanger, I couldnt migrate my Preset folder, so Andrew suggested I copy my 3.7 User Documents folder to the vers4 user documents,so I just copied the entire folder. That seemed to work...all presets ,all shaders, all objects.Im always a bit wary when moving mysterious folders around because I always fear getting rid of something vital! 1 Link to comment https://3dcoat.com/forum/index.php?/topic/10395-v41-beta-experimental-4117d/page/4/#findComment-80856 Share on other sites

Advanced Member johnnycore Posted October 3, 2012 Advanced Member Share Posted October 3, 2012 I love the clean clay brush in V4 Beta! But what I dont like is that its not really fast to use when you want to use it on many areas of your model. Can we have the option of selecting which parts you want to clean with a mask and then press a clean button? I think this will improve the workflow speed, right now Im clean claying an arm (reducing) and it takes for every to brush the whole arm. Not sure if this is the correct area to post this.. but since its V4 beta testing I figured it might be handy to put it here. Reputable Contributor digman Posted October 3, 2012 Reputable Contributor Share Posted October 3, 2012 Mantis still needs to have a Version 4 selection for "Product Version" and "Target Summary" so we can correctly post bug reports there by version... Advanced Member David Schoneveld Posted October 3, 2012 Advanced Member Share Posted October 3, 2012 Well hopefully we'll get on some bug fixes. 4 voxel room seems slower, I've not done apples to apples testing but I'm pretty sure its from the better result mesh technique is much slower. But I'd definitely recommend leaving 3.7 on your computer. I feel 4 is unusable currently. Contributor BeatKitano Posted October 3, 2012 Contributor Share Posted October 3, 2012 I just wanted to ask if a "i don't like this" button will be available in the near future. Javis
You mean for the forum? In fact we used to have it available. But a certain person who dislikes such things complained profusely about it, as well as harassing me personally (since I was the person who set it up initially). So Andrew decided to have it removed altogether. Contributor BeatKitano Posted October 3, 2012 Contributor Share Posted October 3, 2012 Well that's too bad because sometimes i would really like to voice my disagreement without starting something ugly. Keeping it civil in short. Link to comment https://3dcoat.com/forum/index.php?/topic/10395-v41-beta-experimental-4117d/page/4/#findComment-80891 Share on other sites

Contributor BeatKitano Posted October 3, 2012 Contributor Share Posted October 3, 2012 A thumbs down would serve better than a frown. Oh I would agree if there wasn't always someone to stack on a one emoticon comment (which I hate because they don't add anything to a thread.) A dislike button would be discreet enough to avoid ugly discussions. 1 Link to comment https://3dcoat.com/forum/index.php?/topic/10395-v41-beta-experimental-4117d/page/4/#findComment-80899 Share on other sites
