Member arch3d Posted October 15, 2012 Member Report Share Posted October 15, 2012 Hi all, I would ask You is it possible to fix camera facing perpendicular to selected polygon/island. It can be very helpful during painting process. Thank you for help
Psmith
You could achieve this by clicking the "Orthographic" icon in the Camera Panel (far right near the top of the screen) and clicking the "Camera" button - and choosing a top view. From there, rotate your object (in Voxel mode with the "Transform tool) so that the polygon you are interested in is oriented perfectly "east by west" (horizontal). Now choose "Front View" from the same "Camera" menu - and you will be staring straight ahead into the face of that polygon. Go to the Paint Room. Paint away. This is for Direct Voxel Painting (Vertex color). If you've already added topology and unwrapped your UV's - from the Retopo Room, simply choose the "Transform" command from the Toolbar - and from a top view, do the same thing as described above - before going to the Paint Room to start painting.
