Member mash Posted October 21, 2012 Member Share Posted October 21, 2012 Hi, what happened to the edge extrusion tool in the Retopo room? With it you could grab and edge loop and extended it down to make a new row of polygins. It was there in 3.1 but i don't see it in 3.7. Did it get warped up into another tool? Thanks. Reputable Contributor digman Posted October 21, 2012 Reputable Contributor Share Posted October 21, 2012 Version 3.7.18F Basic menu / Select Top menu row select edges "Hotkey F3" or have auto selected and make sure your cursor ring is not too large so you can select an edge and not the whole polygon. Press The "L" key after selecting one edge for selecting the edge loop Commands menu/ Extrude (create a hotkey for ease of use) Edit: I forgot to mention, you can press the spacebar to bring menu items as well. Member mash Posted October 22, 2012 Author Member Share Posted October 22, 2012 Oh yeah the button that says "EXTRUDE" that only shows up when you have an edge selected. I picked the wrong day to stop sniffing glue Thanks.

You often don't know how to find a feature until you're in the right tool or mode. Working with UV's is the same way. You have to select something in the UV tool section in order for the UV tools to appear.
Member mash Posted October 23, 2012 Author Member Share Posted October 23, 2012 That's true about the context menu's. A simple solution is an index of commands that list what they are and how they show up etc.
