Member therearenofacts Posted November 1, 2012 Member Report Share Posted November 1, 2012 Hello All, How does one delete a reference image in 3d-Coat? Thanks, Gamal
Member Solution therearenofacts Posted November 1, 2012 Author Member Solution Report Share Posted November 1, 2012 Wait, sorry, cancel ... I figured it out. 1. Clickthe [Camera] button at the viewport's upper right 2. Click the third option 'Background' 3. From the flyout click the last option 'Edit image placement' 4. Make sure 'Show all planes' is NOT checked. 5. Rotate your view so that the reference image is showing 6. Click 'Choose' in the Reference images dialog 7. Do no select an image. Simply click the 'Open' button .. effectively you're opening no image and that's how you delete the image. Cheers, Gamal
Reputable Contributor digman Posted November 1, 2012 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted November 1, 2012 I am going to post a feature request at Mantis for adding a remove selection in the References Images menu. One of those little things that I have never have got around to... EDIT: Feature request posted.
Advanced Member Gary Dave Posted September 29, 2016 Advanced Member Report Share Posted September 29, 2016 Sorry to drag this one up from the depths, but I would like to permanently remove my reference image and the above steps don't work anymore, is there a way we can do it properly now? Carlosan
Hi Try changing Font Size on Preferences
Member Peda Posted January 19, 2022 Member Report Share Posted January 19, 2022 (edited) I tried now all - from small to extra large - but this didn´t change anything BTW: THX for your quick response! Edited January 19, 2022 by Peda
Carlosan
are you using latest version 2021.91 ?
Member Peda Posted January 20, 2022 Member Report Share Posted January 20, 2022 (edited) Just checked - I´m using 2021.57... Had there been a bug fixe in between? With the latest update I had to chang the size of the fonts with "Choose the UI font" - because they had been much too small for me. I restored this now with "Restore default fonts". This didn´t solve the issue with this small pop up window, but made the fonts extremely small again. Edited January 20, 2022 by Peda
Member Peda Posted July 28, 2022 Member Report Share Posted July 28, 2022 Again me - I´m now using the 2021.70 version and this topic is still pending (cannot update to the latest version because this will only be done by the company) Am I the only guy with this issue? New Member MauriceG Posted April 5 New Member Report Share Posted April 5 Hello, im new to your community. I love 3dcoat so far. Except that I can’t delete a background image. I’ve followed every suggestion here but no luck. Has anyone found a solution? Maurice.
Carlosan
Hi. You mean hide ? or Go to the Camera menu (upper right) and click on "Background" and make a choice.
