In the upper right hand corner, under the Camera Navigation drop menu, you can click on "Customize Navigation." Within the panel you can re-assign the function of the MMB and save the navi-preset.

but I can`t assign the zoom in/out on scroll of MMB

Yes, of course it is possible to change that. The problem is that if you set ALT+MMB to rotate in space (like 3dsmax does), everything works fine. But the problem is that ALT+"rollmouse" is set to brush size, which does work, but in this mode, when the ALT key is pressed the cursor switches to "point" and is not interactively visible , the zoom in/out goes away because the brush icon disappears. I'll send you the settings where you can see it. So far I have temporarily solved it by deleting the "brush size" function on both SHIFT+ROLL and ALT+ROLL, but the visible icon is only visible on the version with SHIFT and ALT disappears when ALT+ROLL is set at the same time, as I described above. The solution would be if the stack icon was not switched off/on. I don't know if this is possible. It would be ideal if the basic navigation templates (maya, blender, 3dsmax,....) were already implemented and could be switched directly inside 3dcoat, because I'm sure like me, there are users who work synchronously in several programs at once and when switching from one to another it is a bit of a hassle to remember the different intuitive controls for each. (3dsmax navigation is easy to set up in all programs (blender, reallusion CC4/IC8, Unreal, Unity, Substance painter,....) but 3dscoat is still struggling.
