Advanced Member Grimmy Posted May 30, 2013 Advanced Member Report Share Posted May 30, 2013 I'm building a TV as my first project but I have a weird issue. Part of my TV base object has voxels separated from the mesh itself which can't be removed using the cutout tool or anything else. These rogue voxels seem to be part of the mesh and are affected by transforms etc but brushes dont seem to register its existence, so I can't brush it out. Picture attached to clarify my issue. Is there a workaround for this? Thanks all!
Moderator Daniel Posted May 30, 2013 Moderator Report Share Posted May 30, 2013 Are you sure that the volume that has this piece is active and not in Ghost mode? P.S. you may send 3b file for inspection to workflow@3d-coat.com
Advanced Member stusutcliffe Posted May 30, 2013 Advanced Member Report Share Posted May 30, 2013 I get this annoying prob occasionally, dont know why or what it is. Try doing the cut out procedure then save as " new name" then re open . I think this worked for me once, but cant quite remember.
Advanced Member Grimmy Posted May 30, 2013 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted May 30, 2013 Daniel. Yes, the object was editable...just the top part that wasn't. I managed to fix this in the end by duplicating the volume. The new duplicate volume did NOT contain the rogue voxels. I guess this is a bug rather than something I did then? Thanks all. Moderator Daniel Posted May 30, 2013 Moderator Report Share Posted May 30, 2013 Is that in V4.0.03?
Advanced Member Grimmy Posted May 30, 2013 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted May 30, 2013 I'm using 4.0.02 Trial Version. I'm using this until Steam update my pro copy to the latest version.
