Units and determining wall or hull thickness

Hi Forum, I've been using 3d coat for 3d printing and all is well -I LOVE this program-

I was hoping someone who knows how the math works for voxels might be able to provide some sort of formula that I can use to determine the value to set for my skin thickness (or the hull).

It is a formula because it is variable each time

the units for thickness value are dependent on 2 factors
1. real world scale
2. voxels density
It would be a huge time saver if anyone knows how to make a calculation for the input fields (hull and skin)
unless maybe there is something I'm missing in the "define measurement units" popup menu?
EXAMPLE
a different number has to be entered in hull or skin field value to get a 1.5mm thickness for these objects:

100mm cube of 2 million tris

100mm cube of 5 million tris

10 mm cube of 2 million tris
