Hi,

I'm starting a small new project, a great white shark.

I'll be modeling and texturing it in 3d coat.

Once the model is done I'll try to make a nice underwater scene and render it in mental ray.

Sorry for the late reply, got busy with work.

The model is in voxels, it was around 10 millions but I downgraded to 2 mil now, it looks more or less the same.

I don't plan on modeling the entire body, but doing a close up shot like in my last render.

I've finally got time to work on this.

There is still a lot more to do with the textures and the lighting/render but it's getting there.

The eyes are a little dead looking, The skin appears too dry to me since he just came out of the water. Some water sheen maybe. I think a little atmosphere haze for the background would help.

 

This is very fine workmanship all around... :drinks:
