Member OrinDoomHammer Posted September 3, 2013 Member Report Share Posted September 3, 2013 Ok I'm not sure what paint mode I am in cause I exported the model from blender to UV map and then went straight to painting, however, when painting with depth selected it changes the mesh, which I find irritating. Is there a way to paint with depth that does not affect the models shape?
Reputable Contributor AbnRanger Posted September 3, 2013 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted September 3, 2013 Sounds like you are in Microvertex mode. It's like having a Displacement Modifier applied to a low poly model, and as you paint the displacement map, you are seeing the relief change on the fly. Hide the displacement/depth layer and it will resort back to normal...visually, anyway. What you want is Per Pixel Paint mode, and there should be an option for that in your Blender (to 3D Coat) Applink.
