philnolan3d
The update will greatly increase the precision and a new 3D sculpting app is coming. I've seen some good deals on these on eBay. I might have to start looking closeer. http://www.cnet.com.au/leap-motion-update-adds-precision-hand-tracking-gesture-controls-339346017.htm
Advanced Member Marc Wakefield Posted November 21, 2013 Advanced Member Report Share Posted November 21, 2013 Nice find Phil! Mine has been gathering dust for a little while... I liked the idea of it from the beginning but found it a bit annoying to use. What is this 3D sculpting app on the horizon?
philnolan3d
It's pictured and discussed in the link.

Ergonomics are everything, that and if you can't make same or more precise movements in the same duration as with your mouse your device is doomed to fail. Advanced Member Marc Wakefield Posted November 22, 2013 Advanced Member Report Share Posted November 22, 2013 Yes, very true. I plugged mine in and fired it up yesterday. It decided not to work at all. Maybe it is upset with me for leaving it all alone in a compartment in my laptop bag for so long...
Advanced Member Marc Wakefield Posted November 22, 2013 Advanced Member Report Share Posted November 22, 2013 It is plugged, in, the little green light is on, I have installed the update, restarted my machine and the Leap control panel is still saying it is not connected. Advanced Member Marc Wakefield Posted November 23, 2013 Advanced Member Report Share Posted November 23, 2013 Nope, still on Windows 7 here. Too scared to upgrade and not a big fan of the new interface.
