[SOLVED] Logo confusion

Hi,

I followed the directions on http://3d-coat.com/play_video.php?link=tutorials/from_javis/Voxel-Logo.mp4 to try and import a logo, but there is an additional screen that pops up regarding top and bottom layers that isn't shown on the tutorial.  Anything I try to import just comes in as junk (bunch of dashed lines).

Anyone else have this problem?  What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,

GWFAMI

Thanks, I saw that, but it just confused me more as I don't understand the new method, with the front and back textures, stencils and such as I don't know what I should put where.
I have a couple of items I want to make 3d, such as the logo for my company, and some model aircraft plans.  The earlier version seemed straight forward, just select the file and it does the work.   Also, with the new method, it seems that I have to have a least 2 versions of the file for it to work, and I don't have those two versions.

Is there any way that I can just load the file as it was shown in the first video or is there a detailed explanation somewhere of what goes where and why?

Thanks for the reply.

I've uploaded my companies logo so you can see what I mean.

Not really.  Here's where I'm confused.  In the first video I saw regarding the logo feature, it jumped right to this screen (screen-capture-1.png) where the file was choosen.  When I try this, it jumps to this screen (screen-capture.png).  Being a noob at this, choosing the file was self explanatory, just choose the file and go.  In the current version of the software, instead of just asking for the file, its asking for the top, bottom stencil textures and bump texture.  I don't know which one to use or if I have to use them all.

I just have a simple black and white logo to transform into 3d so I can print it on my solidoodle.  I don't have different colored versions of it like what is shown in the video.

That's the core of my confusion.

Thanks for your patience with this old noob and his ridiculous confusion.

GWFAMI.

TOP TEXTURE = your logo, is the front size in width and height

BOTTON TEXTURE = side contour, is the deep size

STENCIL TEXTURE = Cut off, your logo again (black empty, white solid)

hope it help

-----------------

pic logo, try 500 px or more

Stencil make it clear B&W
