Updates question?

Hi guys

 

Thinking of purchasing 3D Coat Pro on Steam, I am assuming that this is the same as the version being sold on this website?

 

Also, if purchased, will it be the latest version? what is the upgrade policy regarding point release updates, and will Steam automatically install the update, or will it be a manual download from this website?

Steam gets only builds listed as STABLE, you'll definitely not see a beta build on there. So, unless you're an avid tester, early adopter or sometimes enjoy bashing your brains on a keyboard, I'd stick with the Steam builds.

 

For what it's worth, you don't need to "swap" licenses, you can use Steam licenses for these beta builds as well.

To date, all point releases have been 100% at no extra cost. Only major updates (ex. from version 3 to version 4).
