Member Cowtail Posted June 15, 2014 Member Report Share Posted June 15, 2014 (edited) When you import, there should be a Tool Options panel. After sizing and positioning the model, hit the Apply button in order to work with it. If you can't see the Tool Options panel (should come up as soon as you import the file), not sure how to make it reappear except to go to Windows->Reset This Page To Default. You can also just press Enter :P Edited June 15, 2014 by Cowtail
Member Megisto Posted June 15, 2014 Author Member Report Share Posted June 15, 2014 I already did it. I hit enter or click apply. But the resulting mesh is grey. I cannot do anything with it, is like frozen or something. I cannot interact with brush or split, etc.
Contributor Solution Tony Nemo Posted June 15, 2014 Contributor Solution Report Share Posted June 15, 2014 (edited) In the retopo room, look at the "Default" field at the top of the window and click on the spinner to select the map you are currently in. Make sure you are in the appropriate "Group" in the Group window and open your UV preview window to get you oriented. If you download the latest build, you will get past the issue that defaults to the 'Default' UV map when you ctrl-Z in another map (where your mesh is active). Contributor Tony Nemo Posted June 16, 2014 Contributor Report Share Posted June 16, 2014 If you've finished your UVs, Retopo menu>Merge to NM (for the usual stuff).
