Why is it called 'Merging?'

When you move something from retopo to the paint room, you merge.  When you add another sculpt in the voxel room, it's a merge.  Why is it called a merge?  It seems more like an add or import.

( I think hearing the explanation would help me remember the functionality ;-) )

ZB does too, I don't remember what it's called though.

FWIW I've already gone through the entire UI text and fixed all this. It's a matter of Andrew implementing my english.xml file. :)

I fixed the materials and materials debacle as well.

Dang! And I was just getting used to "Merge".  :)

So we can call it anything we want, right?Just edit the xml.  (find & replace)

I didn't find an english.xml, but did find a "text.xml" that has several refs to merge.
