Johnny Rampant demonstrating a seemingly simple yet fiendishly clever modular component technique for setting up limbs and fingers on your character quickly and easily using spheres and cylinders.

All methods applicable to 3Coat.

Full tutorial available to pro members of cubebrush or for purchase at https://cubebrush.com/video/high-poly-character-design/

This is a tutorial for Zbrush but it's very much applicable to 3d Coat users. I'm doing it right now and it would be excellent for anyone that wants to get into modeling the human figure in 3d Coat.

Also his painting dynamesh with a mask and then pulling out mesh from unpainted holes then redynameshing the model would work well with 3d Coat surface mode..

Actually his technique of using cylinders and sphere's to create limbs etc is much easier to do in 3d coat without having to know a bunch of  hotkeys using the primitive tool..

And furthermore it's much easier to position stuff in 3d Coat than it is to us the move scale and rotate tools in Zbrush.

Zbrush interface is a b****

For fluidity and flow the interface and access to function is best custom made with custom menus and saved hot keys to suit your own liking and needs.

Custom interfaces are essential for quick access to relevant functionality per task and in that sense then become more like the rooms approach in 3DC.

There's some good ready made custom UI's out there to modify  to your own needs.

Accessing the myriad of menu drop downs is a fevered experience best avoided and reserved for less frequently required functionality.

If anyone has trouble doing the fingers and toes, let me know; I've figured out just what he did there, even though he doesn't say exactly how he does that in the video.

Sharing techniques is always welcomed.
