Member Elowan Posted January 30, 2015 Member Report Share Posted January 30, 2015 (edited) hi, I wonder if there is a way to use the fill tool on two seperate objects, to fill up intersections/small gaps between them? It usually only works, when you "merge/copy/move" them on the ame layer in voxel-tree - but what when you want the objects to stay seperate, but also smooth out some areas? I tested some settings for the "Ghost object handling" - but no success at all So there is no other way, but joining the objects? Cheers! Reputable Contributor digman Posted January 30, 2015 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted January 30, 2015 A picture is of the area in question would help working toward a possible solution... Pictures or videos are most helpful.
Member Elowan Posted February 2, 2015 Author Member Report Share Posted February 2, 2015 (edited) Ok, here is what I meant: The skulls and the background (a pillar) are 2 seperate volumes. I merged them into one single voxel-layer, so I can use the "fill brush" on the intersections froms skull->plate to smooth them out. See here (yellow marks): Now, what I asked was, if there is a way to smooth/fill the intersection areas without joining this two volumes? Cheers! Contributor Solution TimmyZDesign Posted February 2, 2015 Contributor Solution Report Share Posted February 2, 2015 You could try cloning the transition area (with the Clone Tool). Then use the Fill Tool on the areas you want to smooth out (on the clone), and when you are done, merge only the clone with the pillar, but not the skull (therefore leaving the skull free), but then you will have a much smoother transition area. If you want, you can just clone a small part of the area you want to blend. You can see that in the video below:
