Advanced Member alvordr Posted February 14, 2015 Advanced Member Report Share Posted February 14, 2015 I'm using 4.5b12 and when I rotate, no matter whether or not I have Leave rotated axis, I still can't get an object to spin but leave the axis where it was...trying to get a part of the model to line up with the axis. I know I haven't used 3DC in a while, but I didn't think I was gone that long.

Advanced Member alvordr Posted February 14, 2015 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted February 14, 2015 I actually mean symmetry plane, not axis...sry...was up late when I started this thread. I needed to align an part of an object with the symmetry plane, as it was off-center.
Reputable Contributor digman Posted February 14, 2015 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted February 14, 2015 (edited) We no longer have holding down the tab key to move the symmetry plane. The below is how it is done now. Open the Symmetry tool panel At the bottom, you can pick the symmetry plane location by mouse click or set it using numerical inputs. You can set it for Global space, Local space or General Case Axis. 3DC Versions 4.1.17D and Beta 12...
