merging 3D scan files to one object

Hello, last week I installed 3D-Coat. There are three things I hope 3D-Coat can do for me.

1) Freehand sculpting. Found it, it is fun to use.

2) Merging scanned files (.stl, .obj, .ply) to one object (recreating the original object from scanned faces of the object)

3) And last obvious if previous is possible; Edditing large .stl files as mesh. But also rescaling the mesh

Probably it is simpel, but since I have looked into many other 3D software for other reasons I'm overwhelmed by keywords. Is there an introduction tutorial for point 2 and 3 ? Keywords which I should look up in in the manual?

I dont know a exactly matching tutorial for you.

Maybe here is something for you

What i know.

Rightklick on the voxellayer.

You get a menu with many options like merge, subtract, move and stuff like that.

No idea. I have never used scaned files.

But in Voxelmode you should be able to rescale and modify your mesh.

I would search for Voxel Sculpting and get an overview from the tools.
