Carlosan
Quote Rebelisimo: Hello all youhttps://paintstormstudio.com/index.html I haven't seen this little gem advertised too much on other boards, but if you're into digital painting then I would give it a go. it's called Paintstorm Studio. It's like a cross between Painter/Manga Studio/Sai. The app has really good blending, a nice color wheel/mixer, a solid brush engine, and it's gpu accelerated. At the current price of 19 dollars, it's also very inexpensive. I can see this being a great addition to my workflow. Enjoy! 3 Quote Link to comment https://3dcoat.com/forum/index.php?/topic/17587-paintstorm-studio/ Share on other sites
PolyHertz
Really amazing feature set, and apparently it's all made by one person too! Was just reading about it for the first time a few hours ago. Really makes me hope someday we'll see a major update the the 3DCoat brush system too with 2D painting apps like this out there. Contributor ajz3d Posted March 30, 2015 Contributor Share Posted March 30, 2015 Unfortunately it doesn't work on my system. It crashes almost immediately after the splash screen. Reputable Contributor digman Posted March 30, 2015 Reputable Contributor Share Posted March 30, 2015 (edited) Really amazing feature set, and apparently it's all made by one person too! Was just reading about it for the first time a few hours ago. Really makes me hope someday we'll see a major update the the 3DCoat brush system too with 2D painting apps like this out there. Programs like this one and Twistedbrush plus others as a digital artist, increase my desire also for 3DC to have a more powerful brush engine... I hope at sometime in the development schedule that Andrew plans on updating the 3DC brush engine to include at least some of the more modern features that are in 2D paint applications today. I hope at sometime in the development schedule that Andrew plans on updating the 3DC brush engine to include at least some of the more modern features that are in 2D paint applications today. I would especially love if 3dcoat had a blending color feature similar to Paintstorm Studio/Manga/Sai compared to the Photoshop-esque "layering" of colors. Having said that, I think that Paintstorm Studio is a fantastic program for digital painting. You just have to make sure that it works with your Nvidia or AMD graphics card. In fact, if there are artists who don't use a dedicated gpu, I would earnestly recommend that you invest in one. Yes, you can open up jpgs, psds, pngs and bmps in Paintstorm Studio. 2 Quote Link to comment https://3dcoat.com/forum/index.php?/topic/17587-paintstorm-studio/#findComment-120777 Share on other sites
