Member piacenti Posted April 21, 2015 Member Report Share Posted April 21, 2015 I have tried now a few times to export my texture that I made using PBR materials but for some reason the blending modes don't seem to be taken into account when exporting. The image on the left is the original which had the PBR material in a overlay layer over part of the yellow color, the right image is what I get when I set up the mesh in blender. Am I missing some option?
Contributor Michaelgdrs Posted April 21, 2015 Contributor Report Share Posted April 21, 2015 (edited) 3d coat brings automatic awesomeness to each work , meaning i like the second one better lol. Talking seriously now , you should report this as a bug , or wait for other users to come in and verify that they have the same issue. Member piacenti Posted April 21, 2015 Author Member Report Share Posted April 21, 2015 My wify also likes the second one better but it is using a different renderer which I'd like to use to render both versions before I decide which one to use. I just got version 4.17 but the problem still happens. I'll probably report it as a bug.
Contributor Michaelgdrs Posted April 21, 2015 Contributor Report Share Posted April 21, 2015 (edited) Try to merge layers down and see if it happens again. Edited April 21, 2015 by Michaelgdrs
Reputable Contributor digman Posted April 21, 2015 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted April 21, 2015 (edited) Did you open the exported albedo map and the other maps in photoshop or any image viewer. If they appear correct, then the problem lies in the shader node you are using in Blender for PBR. Are you using Cycles as your renderer? Can you show a screen cap of your shader node tree in Blender... Edited April 21, 2015 by digman
Member Solution piacenti Posted June 7, 2015 Author Member Solution Report Share Posted June 7, 2015 I fixed the problem by exporting all layers and then just saving the ones I needed individually from photoshop. It seems this problem only happens when working with the gloss/specular workflow even in version 4.5.0.2 (at least for me) but not when using metalness/roughness workflow.
