Contributor ajz3d Posted May 23, 2015 Contributor Report Share Posted May 23, 2015 Maybe use a bucket to fill layers/objects/materials with different colours?

Contributor Malo Posted May 24, 2015 Contributor Report Share Posted May 24, 2015 Working with Color IDs is not possible. There is no way to use it at this time, maybe someone in the future. You could every layer as a mask. It works different as in PS or other painting apps. Take a look into LayerBlending Tab, on the bottom there is the a field what layer you want to use as mask.
Advanced Member Vipera Posted May 28, 2015 Advanced Member Report Share Posted May 28, 2015 (edited) If your ID map is not too complicated then you can manually fill each ID color with Fill tool (use color tolerance checked). This is a manual process. In case if you want to change ID map then you have to refill all your color areas again. New Member xCyborg Posted December 23, 2015 New Member Report Share Posted December 23, 2015 Is there any better solution by now with 4.5? I have baked an ID mask and need to map smart materials to each color id.
Solution Javis Posted December 23, 2015 Solution Report Share Posted December 23, 2015 Using the fill tool is the only real option right now. Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
Contributor Michaelgdrs Posted December 23, 2015 Contributor Report Share Posted December 23, 2015 Unfortunately using fill is the only fast solution as all gurus said above me. Now , when you have a pre made id map and you want to get a smart material to each color id you must do it with layer masks. I suppose Andrew will address this at the near future as is a requested feature by others me included as well.
