Advanced Member arumiat Posted June 29, 2015 Advanced Member Report Share Posted June 29, 2015 Hi guys, I'm trying to use the Pose tool to select a uniform area of mesh, but for some reason the selection is skewed compared to the underlying object. I'm not hugely experience with it but it does feel 'wrong' compared to what I'm used to with it. I have done a lot of manipulating of the underlying object with the Transform tool prior to trying to pose it. Do I need to be applying it's local position or something? Carlosan
you applied to global space first, right ?
Contributor TimmyZDesign Posted June 29, 2015 Contributor Report Share Posted June 29, 2015 Yeah it has the "non uniform" warning message at the bottom of your viewport. Right click on the Voxel layer and choose "to uniform space".
Advanced Member arumiat Posted June 29, 2015 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted June 29, 2015 Thanks both, I did this and it increased the length of the object along the Y-axis and the resolution of it to 18million triangles. Something else I should do first?
Contributor TimmyZDesign Posted June 30, 2015 Contributor Report Share Posted June 30, 2015 Some actions performed on a mesh will cause it to become non uniform. As soon as you see that message appear, immediately make it uniform, otherwise later on you will encounter lots of problems.
Advanced Member arumiat Posted June 30, 2015 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted June 30, 2015 Fortunately as it's only a distorted cube this is not a problem, cheers!
