New Member Yarp Posted August 4, 2015 New Member Report Share Posted August 4, 2015 Hello, I'm a new 3D coat user and I'm currently painting a Maya UV'ed model imported as OBJ. Whenever I hold down the left Ctrl and double click a layer. I get an animated checkered pattern over my model that looks like the image below. There's no way to remove or undo the checkered pattern but to reload the project. Can someone explain to me what this is and how to switch it off without closing and re-opening the project. Moderator Solution Daniel Posted August 4, 2015 Moderator Solution Report Share Posted August 4, 2015 Hello, you are activating freezing (very fast way to do that, btw) To unfreeze everything use CTRL+D shortcut (or Freeze->Unfreeze all in the top menu) Cheers!

Ok, I was just looking at the manual after reading your reply. So if I'm understanding it correctly, freeze/unfreeze is simply another word for mask/unmask like in Photoshop, etc?
