New Member Koljasha Posted November 17, 2015 New Member Report Share Posted November 17, 2015 Hello! Sorry for my English, I use a translator. I have after updating Windows 10 to Windows 10 1511 (the last major update), stopped working import FBX files. If I make a Model for Microvertex Painting, writes that The Model is Empty. If I make a Model for Per Pixel Painting, nothing happens at all. In other programs FBX opens without problems. I tried various models. Even if import OBJ image in 3D-Coat. Then save it as an FBX, then the FBX does not open. Such a problem on my 4.5.19 and the latest beta ... Can anyone suggest how to solve - FBX I was very comfortable ... Contributor Michaelgdrs Posted November 17, 2015 Contributor Report Share Posted November 17, 2015 You can still work with obj as a workaround to get your job done. This issue i think its the first time that has been brought up , when Dev team or a moderator see this thread they will answer back. Until then hold on and work with obj until a solution is found (it will be found)
Carlosan
Hi We found a bug because language letters are unrecognized, try switching your OS to english language as workaround or put the model on another folder as C:\Temp Another option will be change to FBX version 2012, it works. Advanced Member arumiat Posted July 11, 2019 Advanced Member Report Share Posted July 11, 2019 Dismayed that this bug is still present - switching to English language didn't help. Don;t want to have to break flow to go to OBJ, it messes up scales

Featured Comment Carlosan Posted July 22, 2019 Featured Comment Report Share Posted July 22, 2019 Set your FBX export type in Maya 2018 to ASCII instead of Binary and it should solve the import issue into 3DCoat:
