New Member Sharur3D Posted December 23, 2015 New Member Share Posted December 23, 2015 Hello, I got 3DCoat in order to do some destruction sculpting. Unfortunately, it constantly crashes when I substract (error message says: increase size of virtual memory). And I did just like it was described in one of the earlier posts. The issue keeps repeating. Also, I can import objects, which have more than 10 mil polygons, but that's not the biggest problem. Also, there's a problem, that 3DCoat automatically merges complex objects into one mesh. It completely destroys meshes like brick wall, made from separate bricks. Anybody has this issue, know how to fix it?
Reputable Contributor Solution digman Posted December 23, 2015 Reputable Contributor Solution Share Posted December 23, 2015 (edited) Need more workflow information otherwise I will be shooting in the dark. Are you using the 64 bit version of 3DC. Recently a new user was running the 32 bit version of 3DC by mistake. Your amount of free memory that 3DC reports before the operation. How much system ram do you have. What version of 3DC are you using. Are you in Voxel or Surface mode. Are you subtracting one voxel / surface layer from another or using the clone tool or using a model from the models panel. A few pictures here of your vox layer structure would help and a picture of how many visible tris you have. That is at the bottom of the screen. Do you have a red warning at the bottom of 3DC's interface about non uniform voxels. Problem 2: When you have a model file with separate objects in the file, Select "Import as Child" in the Import panel... Shown in picture.
