Member Turner Posted December 23, 2015 Member Report Share Posted December 23, 2015 (edited) Hi everyone- I found a post, but it seems unresolved and it's about a year old... Anyway - I don't think 3DC can create/render glowing surfaces. So, for example, if I'm exporting to Maxwell or something to render, how is a glow/luminance texture best handled? Didn't find reference to "glow" or "luminance" in the manual. thanks, Andrew Edited December 23, 2015 by Turner
Solution Javis Posted December 23, 2015 Solution Report Share Posted December 23, 2015 Hi! Yes you can do this, 3DC calls it an emissive map. To use a layer as emissive go to the layers panel then select the layer you want to have luminous properties, in the) drop down list for blending modes you have two kinds of maps of I recall correctly: emissive amount and emissive color. Note when you expert from the export prompt, I believe there is a tick box to export emissive. Make sure its ticked, and after it's done you'll have your maps.
