Member Teriander Posted December 24, 2015 Member Report Share Posted December 24, 2015 I have been using the ReTopo tool for a few days now and I love it. But I started researching the Auto-Retopo tool and I can not find a way to use it on a mesh that I have brought into my scene for version 4.5. I also try researching online videos and most of them are old, the procedures didn't work the same. Any suggestions on how to get started using the AutoRetopo tool? Thanks!! Reputable Contributor Solution AbnRanger Posted December 24, 2015 Reputable Contributor Solution Report Share Posted December 24, 2015 I asked Andrew about this...to place Auto-Retopo in the Retopo room, under it's own section in the Tool Panel. This way it's easier for new users to find (intuitively). He agreed and said he would do this, but I guess he hasn't gotten around to it, with all the other things he's been working on. It works through the Vox-Tree layer panel, in the Sculpt room. You select the layer you want to apply it to > RMB + Click the layer > choose Auto-Retopo. https://www.youtube.com/user/PILGWAY3DCoat/search?query=Auto-REtopo

Member Teriander Posted December 24, 2015 Author Member Report Share Posted December 24, 2015 Question, when I switch to the Sculpt Tab, my geometry disappears. It shows up fine in the Paint,Tweak, Retopo and UV room, but disappears for Sculpt, is this common? What is the fix?
Contributor Tony Nemo Posted December 24, 2015 Contributor Report Share Posted December 24, 2015 Check to see if the volume in the Sculpt room is checked 'off' with the Eye icon.
Member Teriander Posted December 24, 2015 Author Member Report Share Posted December 24, 2015 Checking these options on or off has no change, my workspace area is still empty.
Contributor Tony Nemo Posted December 24, 2015 Contributor Report Share Posted December 24, 2015 In the Paint room, tic and untic the "Show Voxels in Paint Room". If a change occurs it might be that your Sculpt is out of view, Use Shift-A to center in the view.

Member Teriander Posted December 24, 2015 Author Member Report Share Posted December 24, 2015 Hmm, I can not find a ""Show Voxels in Paint Room" button in the paint room. I did see the VoxTree tab under the Paint Room, but the eye was on here as well. WHere is the Show Voxels button exactly?
