I noticed an entry on the Windows > Popups menu that says "Factures". http://3dcoat.com/files/screen/145464090728.jpg

It brings up this little palette - http://3dcoat.com/files/screen/145464112480.jpg

Just wondering what this is used for - I couldn't find it in the help files or the forum search or Google.

Thanks!

I downloaded the FacturesExt.3DCpack and installed it but saw no new shader in the shader list. Closed 3DC and reopened.

Applying the facture texture I created to the layer does not do anything atm...

Maybe I am doing something wrong, I tried the paint room as well...

Surface mode layer by the way and in 3DC DX.

I will take some photos and make some textures for you that will be  license-free textures for factures

No large rocks around here but lots of sand.... LOL

It could be a few weeks though before I have time to take the photos...

what i found:

In Surface paint

create a new facture

First paint the layer -any color is ok-

then over the new facture > RMB > Apply facture to layer

keep painting and enjoy

* ext pack dont install very well, extract the content to folders shader and textures

once I added some regular paint to the object, then it worked... Thanks... Maybe the missing shader was the problem.

@Andrew... Yes, I already knew about RMB for the factures properties.

Ok, fractures are useful, but is it possible to control the power of normals with this fractures? it will be nice.

Yes, you can change the Brush Pressure or Sculpt Layer Depth.
