Member Spinland Posted February 11, 2016 Member Report Share Posted February 11, 2016 Been a long time 3D Coat user for UV mapping, doing my first model with a voxel sculpt for detailing. In some situations, such as adding tricep detail to the underside of an arm in a T pose, I can't seem to be able to direct the studio light upward to illuminate that surface. Is there some way to get lighting into such areas? I turned ambient all the way up to 100% but it doesn't help at all. Thanks in advance! Contributor Solution ajz3d Posted February 11, 2016 Contributor Solution Report Share Posted February 11, 2016 IIRC you need to lock the environment sphere first. If this doesn't suffice, change the environment mode to gradient or try different shaders.

Lock the environment sphere... under the camera menu Select Gradient as your background. Now you can turn up the intensity of the light(not ambient) without blowing out the background which is hard of your eyes.
