So I love the program, just picked up the professional license.  I was wondering if there's a way to paint with a flat light?  Like Maya has.  Because when I import into maya and plug in my texture it's quite dark, which I admit is probably because the default maya light is different than 3dcoat's.  But even in flat light it's still different, are there ideal light settings that anyone here uses so when it's imported into Maya or other software it's not a difference in color?  Here's a reference (3dcoat on the left, maya on the right).

Under the View Menu, top part of the interface choose "Flat Shade"

No scene lighting is taken into account, the same as if you were painting in Photoshop...

If you want to see some more defining of the model in flat shade, calculate some AO for it under the Textures menu. It appears though the model has some AO already.
