Member edwinsoho Posted March 26, 2016 Member Report Share Posted March 26, 2016 It is a pain in the a** to edit the texture all the time in photoshop and somethings there are UV cuts that is nearly impossible to work with. Is there a Lasso tool or something that I can select a part of the painting, scale/move in 3d coat? in the example attached, I just wanna select that eye, scale up a little, copy and paste and flip to paste in the other side. any directions are welcome, thanks thanks
Contributor Tony Nemo Posted March 27, 2016 Contributor Report Share Posted March 27, 2016 To enable symmetry (draw one eye, get one free), use the "s" key. Click on the brush icon or type 'e' to get the lasso.
Member edwinsoho Posted March 27, 2016 Author Member Report Share Posted March 27, 2016 hi, thanks for the reply I'm aware of the symmetry, and the lasso you mentioned is for filling color. I am looking for a lasso way to select a painting area and manipulate it (scale, rotate etc) thanks
Advanced Member Solution Gary Dave Posted March 27, 2016 Advanced Member Solution Report Share Posted March 27, 2016 Yup, use the "Transform/Copy" tool. You make a selection, then you can move/scale/rotate and plonk down a clone (or enable "Erase Old Position" if you don't want a duplicate). works with all E-panel selection types too, so you can use a literal lasso selection if you desire. (hold E key, or hover over the stroke mode menu, located above the colour switcher in the paint room)
