Advanced Member Vladukenzo Posted June 30, 2016 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted June 30, 2016 Hey guys! Wanna tel you one important thing. When you have polygons that are constantly in shadows make an extra uv map for them. This way you will get more resolution for important places =)
Advanced Member Vladukenzo Posted June 30, 2016 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted June 30, 2016 One extra discovery is that it is better not to split uvs by the symmetry axes. Better do it away both sides. This way you will not get any annoing texture symmetry artefacts. Comparing First with Second, second uses uv space better. Second option does better with symmetry and stretchings =)
Advanced Member Vladukenzo Posted June 30, 2016 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted June 30, 2016 Reinvented some parts. Seems that i am beginning to get really solig uv islands. I will try to keep it up
Advanced Member Vladukenzo Posted June 30, 2016 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted June 30, 2016 (edited) Same thig is about engines/ It is way better for them to be as one piece. Another reason for doing that is: it will be much easier ti edit textures in photoshop this way. Advanced Member Vladukenzo Posted July 3, 2016 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted July 3, 2016 (edited) Using Max geometry as reference =) But admit that this method causes a log wait to process. Better stick to retopo routine, but in an odd way. To be continued..... Edited July 3, 2016 by Vladukenzo
