This is a stage that i am at / Trued to bake normals. I think that coat makes a great job scanning normals.

Admit i do a very hard model. I wish i had more time. The fact that 3d Coat is a preety mistake forgiving software i still have the desire to finish it

Hey guys! Wanna tel you one important thing. When you have polygons that are constantly in shadows make an extra uv map for them. This way you will get more resolution for important places =)

One extra discovery is that it is better not to split uvs by the symmetry axes. Better do it away both sides. This way you will not get any annoing texture symmetry artefacts.

Comparing First with Second, second uses uv space better. Second option does better with symmetry and stretchings =)

Same thig is about engines/ It is way better for them to be as one piece. Another reason for doing that is: it will be much easier ti edit textures in photoshop this way.

Using Max geometry as reference =) But admit that this method causes a log wait to process. Better stick to retopo routine, but in an odd  way. To be continued.....

Done main part of the shield. I am going to finish it tomorrow. The wheel will be modelled from primitive with use or radial symmetry in retopo room. This is the shortest way to make such a tough job =) That is all for today =) Stay tuned for updates =)
