Member BubbaDaCaveman Posted May 26, 2016 Member Report Share Posted May 26, 2016 Hello, everyone decided to participate in the contest. Made this sketch of a motorbike, which I shall call Scorpicus, for the competition. I am fairly new to hard surface sculpting, so I hope I will get some help and pointers from this sweet community. Cheers.

Member BubbaDaCaveman Posted May 28, 2016 Author Member Report Share Posted May 28, 2016 (edited) Hi everyone. This is the engine of the vehicle. I have changed the design a lot and I doubt the end result will look the same like in the blueprint. The blueprint wasn't very correct anyway. I will model the parts one by one and then place them in the chassis. Having lots of fun with 3d Coat. I will be back with more updates soon. Bye. Member BubbaDaCaveman Posted May 29, 2016 Author Member Report Share Posted May 29, 2016 Hi, guys added a few more parts I am having some trouble with the pose tool. Sometimes when I try to pose a voxel shape it leaves parts of the mesh behind. Can any one share their knowledge about this? Thanks
Member Fabrice Posted May 29, 2016 Member Report Share Posted May 29, 2016 Nice ! For the pose tool, when you select with lasso stroke, rectangle or other, make sure that "Ignore Back Faces" is off.
Member BubbaDaCaveman Posted May 29, 2016 Author Member Report Share Posted May 29, 2016 (edited) Hi Fabrice, I did uncheck the Ignore Back Faces option but it still does it. Some updates on the model. Edited May 29, 2016 by BubbaDaCaveman Added image.

Member BubbaDaCaveman Posted June 8, 2016 Author Member Report Share Posted June 8, 2016 Without the navigation with the arrow keys in 3D Coat I don't know how I would have done the ornate design on the tank. Simply fantastic is what, 3D Coat is.
Member BubbaDaCaveman Posted June 9, 2016 Author Member Report Share Posted June 9, 2016 Added some more stuff. I was wondering how I would get even better shadow quality. I have used the highest map size yet sometimes I get inaccurate renders. Are there any suggestions regarding better shadows, from veteran 3D Coat user?
Member BubbaDaCaveman Posted June 12, 2016 Author Member Report Share Posted June 12, 2016 A few more stuff remains to be added, once I am done then I will start the retopology process.
Member BubbaDaCaveman Posted June 12, 2016 Author Member Report Share Posted June 12, 2016 Hello everyone, this is the final high poly model. Next on the list is retopology. Everything is created with 3D Coat. I thought I would have to use another poly modeler to create the chain but with 3D Coat I achieved that effortlessly Rock solid awesome software.
