Member lewis2e Posted August 26, 2016 Member Report Share Posted August 26, 2016 The upload to Sketchfab feature seems to be broken. I am using 3D Coat 4.7.09. I select the option from the Help menu (odd placing, but that is a topic for another time). After long pause, Microsoft Edge (not my default browser...) pops up and tells me that it cannot load the page. if I take the address Edge was trying to load and put it into Chrome, I can see the page - but after clicking the upload button I get an "Aw Snap" error. I tried the same address in Internet Explorer too just for good measure, but it gets stuck in an infinite refresh loop with no button to upload. I am using the correct API key. Is this feature broken?

After some time, I get the next screen which looks OK, but is is quickly replaced by the page cannot be displayed message again. It stays in this loop and I cannot upload. Member lewis2e Posted August 26, 2016 Author Member Report Share Posted August 26, 2016 (edited) Additionally, here is what happens when I copy the link from Edge to Chrome (though I don't know if this is supposed to work in Chrome or not) Edited August 26, 2016 by lewis2e

After pressing Upload to sketchfab you should get to page like this No, I do not get that page. I get something different. I cannot enter any data as the page is constantly refreshing in a loop. Eventually it times out. Please see this video, it is better than I can explain. There is also no upload button. Sorry for long delay in the middle, it takes a long time to load. You can skip over it until 2:18 Edited August 26, 2016 by lewis2e
Andrew Shpagin
Try to copy the link on the top and open in other browser. Looks like browser bug. Maybe reboot PC. Also try to upload some trivial model, like cube, possibly edge may not open big html files.
Member lewis2e Posted August 26, 2016 Author Member Report Share Posted August 26, 2016 I have tried copying link to Chrome browser. The page loads correctly, but if I click upload I get "Aww Snap" (Chrome error page). I am not at the computer at the moment. I will try and reboot and try uploading a smaller file when I get home tonight. Thank you for the help so far.
Member lewis2e Posted August 26, 2016 Author Member Report Share Posted August 26, 2016 So, after some experimentation, it turns out the problem was the size of the file. Clearly Edge cannot handle it. After reducing the texture size I was able to upload. Thank you Andrew for helping me to run this down. Advanced Member bisenberger Posted September 21, 2017 Advanced Member Report Share Posted September 21, 2017 (edited) I'm trying to upload a model, 500k polys 4k texture. It has been displaying PreparingToUpload for a long time. In the upper left corner of the 3D Coat app it displays 0% (Not Responding). 3D-Coat 4.7.35(DX64) Edited September 21, 2017 by bisenberger
Advanced Member bisenberger Posted September 21, 2017 Advanced Member Report Share Posted September 21, 2017 I ended 3D-Coat, and tried it again. It worked the second time.
