Advanced Member Wojtek Kapusta Posted December 8, 2016 Author Advanced Member Share Posted December 8, 2016 It's some kind of Alien vs Predator tribute. The story of these pics has begun on Jama's 3D Concept Design course at learnsquared. Some time ago I made few Predator frames as a homework for one lesson. Accidentaly at the same time my friend Ernesto Martinez did his awesome Alien model for Jama's 3D Concept course too. We made a deal! We exchanged our models to prepare some Alien vs Predator themes! Recently I built some enviro and put characters into... all in 3d-coat. I had some fun with testing new marmoset toolbag 3 also. Plasma shot and little on-screen scratches done in Ps. At the end I combined all of the shots in one short frames sequence: 3 Quote Link to comment https://3dcoat.com/forum/index.php?/topic/19920-wojteks-sketchbook/page/3/#findComment-142368 Share on other sites

Advanced Member Wojtek Kapusta Posted December 31, 2016 Author Advanced Member Share Posted December 31, 2016 Sailing ship I did recently. It has some special ability - turnable cannons on the main deck. I'm happy with this one, lot of work (circa 20h), but lot of fun Here is also link to marmoset viewer: http://brandwork.pl/ship.html (big file-220mb, but works). 2 Quote Link to comment https://3dcoat.com/forum/index.php?/topic/19920-wojteks-sketchbook/page/3/#findComment-142876 Share on other sites

Advanced Member Garagarape Posted January 7, 2017 Advanced Member Share Posted January 7, 2017 Great scene! I like the fact that you kept trees and birds, even it is Science Fiction related. What do you mean by height map in 3dCoat? You can load greyscale maps on voxels to give them volumes? Nice peace anyway! Advanced Member Wojtek Kapusta Posted January 7, 2017 Author Advanced Member Share Posted January 7, 2017 Thanks @Garagarape ! Yes, used height map as a stencil to extrude... it's really fast technique for landscapes (not only, these buildings are done the same way). 1 Quote Link to comment https://3dcoat.com/forum/index.php?/topic/19920-wojteks-sketchbook/page/3/#findComment-143015 Share on other sites
